I found this on TVGUIDE.COM
Question: Come on, Mike... tell us. Are the rumors in US Weekly true? Is Michelle Rodriguez a problem child on the set of Lost? Are they plotting her demise? You're the man — give us the scoop. — Erish
Ausiello: How 'bout we ask exec producer Damon Lindelof. "It's all huff and puff and speculation," he tells me. "Not a word of it is true." He goes on to say that if he were going to whack Ana Lucia — and that's a big "were" — it wouldn't be because of Rodriguez's behavior. "Lost's story is the star, and no actor would ever be killed off for any other reason than supporting the story." Interpret as you like.
Looks like she's sticking around.

Well, I'm sure he would have said the same thing if someone had asked him about Shannon. *shrug* I don't know. I'll just see what happens.

Thank goodness. As unlikable as her character is, I'd rather have her stick around than disrupt the story of LOST.

I think its intresting that he didn't say "Absoultly not, Michelle is a great person to work with!"........I am assuming that the remors are true, that she is a huge pain to work with, but I don't think they will kill her off because of it

I'm with you cody, he makes it sound as if she is indeed a premadona. And as for him saying that just to keep the plot under wraps, you bring up a good point however the producers are anything but secretive. With how much they let out about the monster on their podcast to the hundreds of tips coming in from spoilerfix, to JaVi on the fuselage, they are the least secretive suspense show i've seen

But they never said they wouldn't...we can keep hope.

I can see what you're saying, she looks like the kind of person who gets on everbody's nerves with an attitude, like Ana-Lucia! But I don't think they would kill her off, as much as I don't like her as Sunan said the story would be missing a piece without her.

What piece of the story does Ana actually fill? She's only been on this season and I can easily believe that the writers could find a plausable way to off her, I don't really care one way or the other, she seems to be the only character who is really paranoid, but other than that I cannot see where she fits into the whole scheme.

There are plenty of people who can train the army, maybe not with as much gusto as Ana, but at least a few I can think of. Plus with no guns the army will not really get the training Jack and Ana were hoping

i think Sayid or eko could train a much better army than Ana Lucia
Ex Soldier and drug lord vs Doctor and police officer

Sayid is deffinatley a better person to do it, at least he's calmer with a gun and doesn't shoot the moment something moves...

Well, the circumstances were a little different. I'm not happy Ana shot Shannon but you have to remember what the tailies had been through. While I'm a Sayid fan, and he has shown he can keep a cool head, he does have a bit of a disturbing moral compass. If he's willing to torture someone, even for medication, he's probably willing to do some other mean business.

Once again from TVGUIDE.COM Echoing that which executive producer Damon Lindelof told our very own Michael Ausiello earlier this month, Lost creator J.J. Abrams tells SCI FI Wire that Michelle Rodriguez's DUI arrest, coupled with rumors of alleged on-set antics, have not led to the actress' ouster. "While we don't want to report on the fate of any of the characters," Abrams says, "I would say without question that any reports [of such a firing are] erroneous and silliness."
