It's similar at least.

Yeah I've seen this before. Definitly done on purpose, they intentionally shot at that angle. It makes me think Walt has been a part of the project all along.

Before you came, we had a discussion about who in Walt's life is connected to Dharma. We wondered about his mom vs. Bryan, his adoptive father. Bryan might have gotten close to the mom in order to have an impact on Walt for Dharma. However, he acted so freaked out when the mom died, that I don't think so. If he wanted Walt, why not just take him to the Island himself after she died? So that leaves Mom. Maybe?

I have two contradicting theories on this. One is that Walt inadvertently killed his mother because she wasn't paying attention to him. The other one is that Brian is an Other, he killed Susan and got Michael to take Walt so they would be on the flight. Michael is probably needed on the island, all of them are. I do wonder why Brian himself isn't there, but neither are Mr. Paik and the Psychic, who I believe are Others as well. They might be Others who were only needed for one purpose: To get Claire, Aaron, Sun, Jin, Michael, and Walt to the island, and after they do so, they're "free". In my opinion, there are more Others who were planted on the plane, as they will be needed later.
I'm sure there are holes, but I'm totally new to the whole theory thing.

Yeah, I've wondered about Walt causing Susan's illness, too. I don't think he would do it consciously, but like Harry Potter, "things" happen. If Bryan is the Dharma man in Walt's life, he sure put on a good show for Michael.

If he hadn't put on a good show, Michael may have questioned him.

I think you got a theory going here, Danielle.

I have a hard time believing this Dharma shaped logo in the first season. I personaly don`t feel they even knew what the Dharma sybol would have even looked like let alone placing this easter egg mid first season. Still, it`s a good catch and if it is true i`ll eat my hat and have seconds Also, why not ask Javi on the fuselage.com?

Good idea, I'll do that. The DHARMA logo is on the airplane in Tabula Rasa, episode 3. I saw the picture floating around online and thought it was fake, but I watched my DVD and sure enough, it's there. So I'm pretty sure they knew about it from the get-go. (Click for the large version)

Although Javi does tend to make his answers very.....suggesfull. The DHARMA logo is on the airplane in the pilot episode. I saw the picture floating around online and thought it was fake, but I watched my DVD and sure enough, it's there. So I'm pretty sure they knew about it from the get-go. (Click for the large version) I think the creators have already shot this down down. Still, it`s also a very good find indeed.

What did they say it was? It looks exactly like the DHARMA logo.

What did they say it was? It looks exactly like the DHARMA logo. I`ll do my best to find a link but i`m pretty sure they just chalk it down to a random engraving the airline that owned the plane commonly used during construction.

I really think some of you are looking for meaning where there just isn't. I don't believe the writers had any intention of hiding a Dharma logo in those examples. Every octagon can't be a hidden logo imo.

We talked about the logo on the plane before, but everyone assumed it was either a coinsidence or photoshopped.

I thought it was fake too, until I saw it on my own DVD.
