Mr. Friendly was clearly referring to Jack as the leader of the bunch. There was no question. When Locke started to go along with putting the guns down, Jack still was in charge. All the decisions went through him, but the curious part is that Mr. Friendly knew that he was definitely the leader....
thoughts?

Interesting...Who would have told them that? Walt? Or would they have had them under surveillance?

Surveillance and also just observing human behavior. I think if anyone watched a few people on a mission like that interact for even 15 minutes, you could tell who was the leader.

I saw it more like Zeke was looking at Jack as a leader because he was standing in front and doing most of the talking.

I suppose "Zeke" just assumed he was the leader and why not?. Although Jack may not feel like it, he`s a born leader although some of his methods are a little questionable.

I'm questioning Jack as a leader. He's seeming less and less stable every episode.

I'm questioning Jack as a leader. He's seeming less and less stable every episode. True but, i feel, it`s merely down to the extreme situation he`s in. I mean, i can`t disagree with a decision he made so far.

I agree. I can't say how anyone would react in that situation. And really, I can't see any of them doing a lot better of a job.

Yeah, true.
But when all is said and done it seems a few people are losing trust in him. And i think this "army" idea is, for him at least, not only a final stand against the others but also a chance to earn more trust among the survivors.

I can't wait for that, it's gonna be so cool. When he said that, I got chills.

Yeah, i think this is a massive turning point in the series much like the discovery of the hatch in season 1.
