Although I would like to see Michael die, just because he is annoying (although I completely understand how he can act the way he is), I don't think he is going to. He may be missing for a while, but not dead. His connection to the Walt plotline makes him too important to the show to kill off just yet (especially since there has been mention that Walt won't really make a real return until Third season). So Michael is safe.
I also happen to think Anna Lucia is an interesting character they need to develop more. I don't hate her or want her die... But if legal problems keep her off the show she ma be next for out of control of the writer's hands reasons... But still I did not choose her.
I don't think the next main character death will be real soon, but I do think it will be dramatic (and possibly very different from what we've seen already). I think it will be Charlie, perhaps late in the season or early next season, and it will not be a killing by the others or anything like that. I think he will start using again and overdose... But perhaps in a way that leads the group to think it was the others that took and/or killed him... Ramping up the tension and spurring some who were on the line (Saied, Eko, ?) to cross over into battle mode. Starting the war.
Kind of a crackpot theory here, but I could see it happening. JJ isn't against this kind of character use and manipulation.

I think it will be Walt and Charlie - not sure which will be first.
This, of course, does assume that Ana Lucia doesn't getted dropped from the show cause of the DUI (as mentioned above)
my reason is actually from what I am inferring from outside the show. I get the general impression from random internet tidbits and from the lost interviews that the Transmission recorded in hawaii last year that the actor who played Walt was not too happy being stuck in Hawaii. I also think that if they have him off too long the age issue will start to rear it's head (he looks 3 years older but it is supposed to be less than 2-3 months. Finally, in the interview I hear the actor playing Michael sure sounded like he was concerned about his job and being the next one killed off. The interview happened right about the time that Walt was taken, so I wonder if Walt not being in this season is tied to all of this.

I think it might be Jin. It would be a heart-breaker, but he's already developed quite a bit as a character.

I know salary doesn't necessarily bear on the storyline, but they announced Fox got a big pay bump today, much more than the other actors...

I'd like to see Ana Lucia get it, maybe mauled by a polar bear...am I being cruel. Anyways, oops DING! I think Michael may get himself into too much trouble and he'll go bye bye, I wish Charlie would stop the drugs, he's going to basically betray everyone, and their trust! But I don't want to see him die. Michael on the other hand is just bugging me, though I understand his circumstances.

I'm gonna say Claire. If she died, Charlie would get a new lease on life, as Aaron's father figure. Some new storylines surrounding his trials as a new dad would be nice.

True, but Claire is so great! We've seen little of her past, but I have a feeling she has a bigger connection than we know.

I really like Claire too. I'd hate to see her go, but it makes sense to me that her death would open up a bunch of new doors...maybe she'd die after we find out more about her past, or hopefully learn her true connection to the island, if there is one.

Well, I hope nobody else dies, but that would be unrealistic. Assuming Ana Lucia's actress doesn't go to jail, I would say Michael. He's behaving irrationally, making bad decisions. The Others have him now. He may act up in custody, forcing a confrontation. So far he hasn't shown that he is competent in a fight, so he probably would lose going up against those people. They may do bad things to him to coerce Walt to cooperate with them and go too far. Conversely, Walt may use his powers to do something that brings about Micheal's death either accidentally or to spare Michael pain. i heard from somewhere that Michael Fox (Jack Shepard) said in the future, more characters will die for more answers to the island.

That's what I've been saying since I sent in my first theory to the show. I love Claire but she HAS to die. I would forever be frusterated about what Aaron's potential would be if she didn't.

Very true, but this is the way i see it..... 1) Michael can`t die due to him being Walts father and they can`t have Walt without a daddy 2) Jack can`t die (yet) due to him being the main leading role 3) Hurley can`t die due to him being the only source of comedy on the island 4) Clare can`t die due to her having a new born to take care of 5) Sawyer can`t die due to him being the only "love to hate" character on the island Anyone else? I agree that Michael and Walt won't be gone any time soon. The producers said on their official podcast that Walt would be back by the end of the season. Jack will be there till the end for obvious reasons. I could see Claire dieing and Locking having to take care of the baby, but that's not likely. Bernard and Rose are boring now and pretty much have been the whole time, if one of them died that would add an interesting twist for the other character for a while. At the same time, pretty much the same thing could happen to Sun or Jin. Libby isn't going anywhere any time soon, mostly cause she is starting to look hot. I voted for Sun, mostly because I don't really know, but also cause it looks like she is taken by the others in the next episode. If they take her, Jin will go after her and I bet one of the two of them will end up dying.
