Two camps?? Who goes where?? (possible SPOILERS)

I suppose there could be spoilers in here... so

It seems there is a little buzz that LOST may head more toward Lord of the Flies/The Stand. There is talk that the group will start to polarize and maybe everyone will stop being as generous, and become more selfish.

If this happens, who goes where? What will the groups be? How many will there be??

Here is my early list...

One group led by Jack, obviously, and his new gf, Ana Lucia
This would mean Sawyer and Kate would end up in the other group (the next episode will supposedly reveal something that will be detrimental to a Kate and Jack relationship)

Now, Hurley will probably follow his buddy Jack, that friendship seems to stay tight from the first season, likewise, Charlie will probably follow Hurley, as he doesn't have that many friends left.
This would put Claire and Aaron in the other group.

Locke and Eko are interesting. It seems like they would be in different groups, and I think the dynamic btwn the two of them will answer the question over the next few episodes. My gut says that Locke will NOT be in Jack's group, just from the past. Also, Eko is sympathetic to Ana through it all, so we will put Eko with them.

Rose and Bernard. Hrmm.. Bernard has no trust left for Ana, but Rose has a great connection with Jack. I think they will go the same way, but it is hard to say which way. I am inclined to think they go with Jack and Ana.

Libby, I think the blossoming relation with Hurley will be split by Libby's feelings toward Ana. I think she will go with the Sawyer group.

Michael. Although he seemed to bury the hatchet with Sawyer this past week, if it came down to splitting camps, he would go the opposite way of Sawyer. Also, after he knocks Locke on the head, they are not going to get along well. So, he goes with Jack.

Sayid. He found a connection with Ana, and he still carries his guilt from torturing Sawyer. He will go with Jack.

Sun and Jin. Although she has been close to Michael and Jack, I think they go with Sawyer's group. Her connection with the other girls (Kate and Rose) will lead her that way, plus the other camp will need a healer.

So, that is my early guess
Jack's group-
Jack, Ana, Hurley, Charlie, Eko, Rose, Bernard, Michael

Sawyer's group-
Sawyer, Kate, Claire, Aaron, Locke, Libby, Sun, Jin

I'd say Jack's group wins by a killing stick.

It's a d**n good theory, one I have been turning over in my head for a while. I think Rose will be the unwitting leader of the 'good' group, purely because of The Stand. But it is really difficult to say who would be her antithesis. Maybe Sawyer, or Eko, or Sayid. Eko and Sayid seem to have gone straight, while Sawyer remains a petulant sod, so maybe him yeah.

Right now I would have to agree with your suggested split. Knowing Lost, we will probably be surprised in future by some of the characters, and they could change over.
