Hey guys, just wanted to see what scene was the most emotional for you. i posted this as my favorite scene, but it's also the most emotional for me. The Scene where the raft leaves. The music, the goodbyes...Jin and Sun alone...It made me literally BAWL my eyes out....snif....

Hmmm... For me, it would probably be when Jin goes to his old village to see his father. I will admit, I teared up a bit at that part (but it was probably just poor lighting : . I was amusing to me in a sense because it was a reverse Prodigal son story. Instead of going out and squandering his father's money, he went and made it big and denied his father. It was touching to see his father not care at all about that and just be glad to see his son. Even though I wasn't a fan of Jin before, this (as well as seeing him talking with his father about his wife and getting advice from him) was what really made me like Jin. In case you haven't read the actual prodigal son story, here it is. www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2015 ~Read 11-24~

I like that. Reverse prodigal son. Maybe you can use that in a sermon some day, Jeremy. I think one of the most touching scenes was last season during the last episode when they are all getting on the airplane. The music is playing, they take their seats, nod to each other, etc. We know what they are in for, but they do not. Very sad.

That is funny you should mention that, since I often use Film and television refrences when I teach. Everyone at the bible study I used to lead would sigh and do this-> every time I would bring up Braveheart.

I think people can relate to pop culture references. That's how Jesus taught, too.

The most emotional scene for me was when Michael, Jin, and Bernard got to the big group and Vincent ran to Michael, and Rose and Bernard reunited, I teared up there! And the Sun and Jin run to eachother!!! I admit, I completely lost it.

Yeah, that's a good one. Jack gets all teared up and you think to yourself, hey, Sawyer's not so bad! He did something good!

Um, of course the Charlie-hanging-from-the-tree scene, but also a lot of Locke's flashbacks choked me up. That poor guy has been through so much. I want to punch his dad in the face...and take back his kidney. gah!

All of the climactic parts of Locke's flashbacks, absolutely. The end of Deus ex Machina comes to mind, after Locke realizes that his dad stole his kidneys.
Also, to mention a more recent moment, in "What Kate Did", where Locke is talking about the odds of the two sections of the plane finding two pieces of the movie, and Mr. Eko responds with "Don't mistake coincidence for fate". Yeah. That scene totally got me.

It was a very captivative scene! Showed you how different Locke and Eko are, but yet how similar!

I can't wait to see Eko's flashbacks and to learn more about him.
