Hello all, Longtime listener of the show and first time board poster, But wanted to let every one in on something Ive recently discovered from the LOST Complete series box set. I bought this the week it came out but just lapsed over this piece of info, until now.
Included in the set is a journal entry from the black rock, And on the date of december 18th, the writer explains that an away team of six men was sent to the island to possibly help in finding their location, but only one man returned. That one man explained that during the mission, they encountered another vessel on the water, and engaged in musket fire, before the opposing vessel dissapeared in a flash of heavenly light.
Sounds an awful lot like what happened on the show, so as far as Im concerned, thats as close to an answer as were going to get.
