So I finally got on the bandwagon and got a blog. I really like sports and hope to work in the journalistic field of it someday, and I thought this might help springboard me forward to that. I'm going to give a "Down-To-Earth" (ha, get it) perspective of an average sports fan, not some hotshot writer who's never picked up a ball in his/her life. My first post is about the sendoff Yankee Stadium got last night. So check it out, leave me some feedback if you want. I'm all ears if anyone wants to talk sports with me, I'm considering a podcast someday. dtesports.blogspot.com/Tyler

He totally has a shot this year as long as he gets his touches. Coach rotates a lot so he doesn't get to carry as much as we would like, but this past week he even returned a kickoff (or was it a punt, have to go back and check.) He is electrifying when he moves with his ability to cut and spin and hurdle which is why I have his jersey. ;D He has a really good shot as long as Georgia's winning. I think Tebow will be out of the picture, defenses are starting to figure him out. My guy, though: Chase Daniel.

Thanks guys!
So Jana, Heisman for Moreno this year? I think he has a legitimate shot.

Man, I pick the Chargers to win the Super Bowl, and they start 0-2. Maybe I'll pick the Packers and they'll start losing. Onto to Week 3! And maybe a lead change?

Sign me up. I'll have to start coming here more often now. I should have dominated last year, still can't believe I traded Tom Brady...

I don't think I can take much more of this 100 years crap. It's GOT to be this year...

1. Led Zeppelin- Need I say anything? Greatest rock band ever. 2. Pink Floyd- Very close second. I love every single album and song they have ever done. "Dark Side of the Moon" is the greatest album ever, IMO. 3. Boston- Gets slammed for only having one good album, but it is a fantastic one, one of the greats. Every song from the record is classic, and I actually like some of their later stuff, just not near as much as the first. 4. Umphrey's McGee- Known as a "jam band", but these guys are also the most skilled musicians I've ever seen. They improv on the spot, and kick a$$ at it, which is a huge plus for me, do incredible covers, and not to mention, their original stuff is fantastic. Also, they release their live concerts over the internet in the form of a podcast, so you should check them out. 5. Stone Temple Pilots- My favorite '90's band, not much left to be said. They just rock.

I know it's early, but I was just wondering if this was going down again this year? Or a fantasy league? Something, it was really fun last year. Well, just thought I'd liven this thread up again.

my vote goes to jack even though i liked some of your picks jay. not a lot of people know faith no more other than that song. and i think the disco zeppelin song you two were thinking of is Trampled Underfoot. speaking of zeppelin, i was pumped to hear Achilles Last Stand. My 3rd favorite Zeppelin song behind No Quarter and The Rain Song. Well heres mine: 10.The Doors 9.Rush 8.Guns 'N Roses 7.Umphrey's McGee(not in the mainstream but a great improvisional band) 6.Creedence Clearwater Revival 5.Aerosmith 4.Lynyrd Skynyrd 3.Pink Floyd 2.Boston 1.Led Zeppelin
