With our new show I want to have screen shots from the most recent episode on the podcast. Jack and I are going to record our thursday episode practically right after the episode airs. So.......... If you guys could post the relevant screenshots from the most recent episode here it would be greatly apreciated. Make sure to tell were you got it from. Thanks  |

Alrighty. Hm. This could get a tiny bit complicated though, being that you're recording right after the show, and I'm not sure exactly how long it would take for me to take the screen caps. I suppose this could be something of an experiment, and I'll see if I can pull of the screenshots soon after the episode airs. If I can't do it for whatever reason, I'll still provide screenshots that I didn't take personally, with credit where it's due. Sound good, Jay?
I'll try my best though. Also roughly how many screenshots are we talking about? 10-15? 30-50? 100+? I can do any amount, just I'd like to know what to shoot for. Also, I know that you're recording right after the show, but what time slot does that throw me in for sending you the pictures?

just the important shots of things that are worth analyzing, like 10-15 at most really. And actually if you could just tell me the ones you got, i can wait and put them in before i post the show.
We will probably record at 10:30 eastern so you would have thirty minutes. I would really just need to know what we have so we can talk about it you know what i mean. But whatever you can do will be fine.

 Wow. I realize how incredibly bad this is going to sound, but I'm not sure if I would be able to pull through with the screenshots. I was confident I could do it at first because I could download a copy of the episode because one usually emerges online within an hour or so of the end of the episode, and then I could manage taking the screenshots with the computer, while at the same time maintaining high quality rips. But the window frame of thirty minutes wouldn't work with that, so the only way to actually get original screenshots would be to connect the TV to your computer and take the shots as the episode airs, or take them using your computer if you can watch it with Media Center on a Windows XP computer, and I don't have access to either of those. Ay yi yi. I feel very bad about this one. Feel free to bash me immensely on the latest podcast. But I mean, the screenshots are just for explanation purposes, right? So I would imagine that it shouldn't really be a big deal where they come from, as long as credit is given where needed. I've got a Plan B though, and that is to loiter around on various message boards and wait for screenshots to emerge, since I know they usually do pretty quickly because some people have the resources I don't. With this Plan B, I should be able to send in screenshots by 10:30 but they wouldn't be mine, and I could tell you where I got them from. So yeah. I'd be completely fine if you went with someone else to deal with screenshots, but let me know your response. |
