Finale

We all knew this was coming, so what did you all think? I loved it personally.

i'm not going to vote.. i really liked the entire episode until the last 10min. Just didn't dig the ending.

It's funny you say that because the last 10 mins might have been my favorite part, and I wasn't even surprised by it.

yup.. i would imagine the last 10min is what people will debate over forever as their best/worst part of the show! See my other post on the episode itself to hear my reasoning.

Well it's at least partially dependent on peoples beliefs as well. I mean if you don't believe in a supreme being or the afterlife you're a lot more likely to have hated the ending and vice versa.

Not saying that's true for everyone. I know a lot of people who aren't religious at all and can still enjoy those themes in movies and shows.

Im nowhere near religious and I still loved it. I like how everyone can take away something different from the end.

im not religious and i dont feel that this ruined the ending at all... i have to say though when ben apologized to locke i figured out that they were all dead and i was kinda upset cause i wanted to be more surprised i guess haha ... overall good ending to an excellent show

I liked it. But in a weird way the jury is still out ;D

It's too much to digest. I didn't hate it. But a few bits didn't convince me i guess. I'll have to rewatch it. But as a finale experience in itself I really liked it.

I really thought Jack was going to crawl in the coffin and everyone was at the church for his funeral.

Personally, I wasn't too happy with the ending. Guess I will need to re-watch it. It was fun to watch it with everyone at the Orpheum though

The End was incredible, I loved it. I contend that if you didn't like the finale because you didn't get all the answers you wanted, then you never got the show in the first place. It was all about the characters, not the questions.

I could not agree more.

So far, the only people I've witnessed to have hated the finale were those who wanted more answers and those who wanted the sideways to be something different.

I'm not religious at all, but not only did I love the finale, I was very touched by it. I'm not sure that it could have been better, even if extended another 30 minutes. I don't think there has been an episode of this show that I've loved more than this one, quite honestly. I cherished every minute while watching it in the moment and taking it for what it was. It was beautiful.

Well said, my friend! All through the show, Darlton tried to tell us that the show was about the characters and not the island or the mysteries surrounding it, and I love how the end of the show made the island such an inconsequential factor, except that Christian indicated those times were the most important of all the characters' lives.

I absolutely loved the finale, I was a terrible mess the entire night haha. It was beautifully done and I feel that they packed in a conclusion as best they could. Odds are, any answers that were given would not be accepted by everyone, so how they left a lot open to interpretation was perfect. I don't have any criticisms or regrets at all about this episode!
