Who are the six remaining candidates?

Jarrah and Locke are no longer mortal and that takes them out of the running,
(MIL crossed out Locke because he is dead - thus the rule is a candidate must be alive)


Known candidates all touched by Jacob
1 - Hurley
2 - Jack (Christian is dead)
3 - Sawyer

Ilana was not sure which of the Kwons

4 Jin or Sun

That means 2 other living candidates

5 Austin (is #51) maybe it is good that Kate is not one of the "unlucky" numbers. But this can also be Aaron because when Kate claimed Aaron as her child he would be recorded as Aaron Austin. We know Jacob touched Kate but we do not know if Aaron was touched. On the other hand we know that all of the Oceanic 6 were to return to the island but Aaron did not.


That leaves a very mysterious Candidate #6 - Who do you think it could be

Cindy the stewardess
Ben Linus
Miles Strom
Frank Lapedius
Richard Alpert
Rose
Bernard
Ilana
Claire Littleton (I think she was on the candidate wall)
The young boy who tells MIL the rules
One of the temple escapees,

or is someone off the island
Desmond
Penelope
Charles Widmore
Eloise Hawkings

or perhaps someone we have yet to meet?

Anyone I am leaving out?
But more importantly who do you think it is

Ilana shouldn't know Sayid is out for the count necessairly. Although Ben said he killed Dogen and such, so she may have an inkling....

Which is somewhat odd since the only real threat any of the candidates have...are the other candidates. And they can't kill each other.

So Alana knows the last names of the canadiates, then how come in the last episode of season 5 when Lipidas is in the boat she doesn't know if he's canadate?

I wondered that too. Although does she really say he is or not? If I remember right, Bram suggests he could be a candidate and Ilana just says to bring him with them.

Good point - unless she just didn't know Lapidus' name at that point in the story - either that or she is able to recruit candidates as well as protect those she knows about?

Maybe she just suffers from "Mother Hen Syndrome" and she feels she has to protect everyone who is on Jacob's side of things - to keep them safe from smokey.

Just a thought.

My bad, You are correct - Linuis shot Sayid
