Smokey Locke told Ben that Locke's last thought was, "I don't understand." Wasn't there an encounter between Locke and Smokey, in season one or two, where Locke says to Smokey the Monster, "I understand."

Mm, I don't remember anything like it. Locke never spoke to the monster that I can ever remember seeing.
Doesn't mean it didn't happen, but someone'll have to track it down, yes?
