let's make a list... Apparently what is different IS significant. SO, let's list this out. • Character Hair cuts (on some of them • Jack get one vodka bottle instead of 2 • Jack is kinda scared and Rose is calm • Shannon is not on the plane • Boone is seated in a different section of coach (near Locke) • Hurley is Lucky • Jack knew his dad had died before going to Australia. (I think...well I guess the original way works too. His wording was vague) • Christian's Coffin and Locke's case of Knives are missing • Locke went on the walkabout (unless he lied to Boone) • Charlie gets arrested • Desmond is on the plane (Maybe. When Cindy came to get Jack the wide shot did show his passing him to get to the aisle. but It could be representing Jack's point of view) • Jack had a cut on his neck • Jack had a pen in his pocket (might be different we don't REALLY know) • Charlie tried to swallow his drugs instead of flushing them • Jin has money in his suitcase •...and oh yeah...THE ISLAND WAS UNDER WATER!!! More?

Jin and Sun may not be married in this scenario since Sun was referred to as Ms. Paik, and Jin wasn't wearing a ring.
I think Jay and Jack mentioned Rose wasn't wearing her ring around her neck on a chain this time?

Everyone looked about 5 years older as well, I wonder if that is significant?

I think that may just be something they can't really help because of the actors.

I think that may just be something they can't really help because of the actors. Yeah it was a joke, but... If they really had the whole thing planned out from the start (who believes that?) they could have filmed it at the beginning.

I think the mythology of the show was planned out, but not the character arcs. And I'm pretty sure Darlton mentioned not coming up with the flashsideways until around season 3, so they really didn't think to film such things at the beginning. Plus, they didn't know how long the show would last. Plus, they would have had to pay the crew and all that much more in the beginning for all the extra scenes. But yeah...

Locke couldn't have gone on the walkabout, he wouldn't have made the plane if he had.. the only reason he was on 815 was because he WASN'T able to go...

EXCELLENT point, uklibre. Unless without Widmore to get Abaddon to suggest him going, and him making the decision himself...he just on a walkabout a little earlier.

According the Darlton...he did not go on the walkabout. He lied to Boone.

Yeah, they seemed to say that, indeed.
Still wonder if Abaddon was still the one in this other reality to suggest he try going on a walkabout, though.
