Last week we saw Ben get shot. This week we saw the aftermath of that with all the Losties trying to fix him. However there seems to be some continuity issues here. Last week he was shot on the left (viewer's right) side of his chest. This week the wound is on his right side (viewer's left). I'm not a picky person, but this one seems a bit major for a show that prides itself on the details... could it mean something? Maybe, but I doubt it.

I'm not gonna assume it means anything. Maybe they just moved his bandages over when it got all blood-soaked and his hoodie was bunched up strangely.

What will become known as "THe Moving Wound Of Benjamin" is merely the 1st step in the island's master plan to make Ben the leader of The Others. If the wound wasn't moving - Juliette would have been able to fix it and thn Ben would have been raised as a relatively normal kid - and not have to be dragged off to some weird temple where the Smoke Monster will have its way with him.
There ya have the explanation. ;D

I think this is one of those things, that don't look at those kind of details just stick with the big stuff. We went through this when Shannon was shot. People were analyzing where the shot happened, the type of gun that was used could not make that kind of blood stain.

So, I think I've cleared this up.
My BF works at Disney Studios, and is required to attend the Hannah Montana premiere tonight. Just before it started he texted me that Sterling Beaumon, the actor who plays Lil Ben, was also attending the premiere. I asked him to ask Sterling why his gunshot wound moved from the left side of his chest to the right side, to which he responded:
"Magic."
Mystery solved, people. Let's move along!

the footage in one of the scenes might have been flipped for one reason or another. It might have been flipped for one reason and they just overlooked the consequence of the wound appearing on the wrong side of the body.

it does seem that hard, when you fall your clothes get tangled/bunched up,and thats what happen the sweatshirt just got pushed over making it look like the bullet hole moved but it didnt.

It is quite strange where they were shooting these scenes kinda at the same time. Although one could be from special effects dept and they moved it for some reason.

There's no way this was an accident. It's not that I'm looking for a reason larger than it seems, but you don't just flip shots on a show like this, at least shots with side-sensitive information like this. All of this stuff is well thought out beforehand, and very rarely do you film something and then decide "Actually, it's much better if we just flip the entire thing." The Continuity Master would flip out, among other people.
I'm totally going to have to eat my hat if this ends up being a mistake!

Maybe it was changed because of the magnetic properties....... (pulled across his body)
