I just bought the first episode of the first season on iTunes and watched it a couple nights ago. I must say, I LOVE IT. I can tell this is going to be another show to add to my addictions, although I don't have showtime, I'll still get my fix from iTunes/DVD seasons. The story and acting in this are great (Michael C. Hall is phenomenal)! I wish I could have a witty, clever monologue running through my head like Dexter does Any other Dexter fans out there who want to give their thoughts?

Yes. But I'll wait until you catch up because I'm still reeling from the awesomeness of the last few episodes.

I'm headed to Best Buy right now to pick up an iTunes card because I'm all out of money from spending it all on Dexter.. and It's always sunny in philadelphia but mostly Dexter. In the first few episodes his sister really annoyed me, but now, I guess, I've gotten used to her

She annoyed me too, but she's hot so I learned to deal with it. She does get better though. And get ready man. You have hours and hours of awesomeness right in front of you.

I just bought the whole first season via iTunes and I have watched two more episodes so far. I have a question though. In the episode "popping cherry" where there is the teenage kid who killed the guy who raped him, but Dexter thought he was an up and coming killer, but my question is, Dexter saw him try to pull a knife on his friend when they were looking for alligators so it's obivous he is still able to kill, so why didn't Dexter do what he does best, and take care of that kid? Any help on this would be appriciated, because it's been bugging me all day.

I am obsessed with this show. Finished getting through season 3. I honestly thought that season 1 works as a stand-alone one-off series... but seasons 2 and 3 kicked serious bottom. Really great places to take the series. I gotta read the book now - Darkly Dreaming of Dexter - anyone read this?

And Paul - I haven't read the book, but I have heard good things about it, although I have heard many negative things about the sequels.

Watched the complete show, and I'm full of praise! Such a great show indeed! I'm ok with how the show evolves throughout the seasons. It's not a bad thing i think.
Can't wait for next season and see where they take Dexter's character. I love the character, but I wouldn't mind a little more distress in his life. A bit less total control over situations. But whatever direction they go with him, I'm sure it's gonna rock!

LOVE Dexter. That is one of my shows where I would stop the DVD because I was so scared as to what would happen next. Seriously keeps me on the edge of my seat! Loved Season 2 the best but considering season 3 was the only season not based on the book, I think they did a great job with the characters and story

Dexter has such brilliant writing, I love this show! This is a case where I like the show better than the book! I liked the first and second book, but the third book didn't tickle my fancy. It would be pretty creepy to have the killer in the second book on the show. If you haven't read the second book, I would suggest reading to find out what I am talking about.

Wow...yeah, this show seriously kicks butt. I like too how it fills in that time from September until December when we are not obsessing about LOST. I bought God-awful Comcast with Showtime just so I could watch that show. I loved all 3 seasons...there were a lot of good twists and turns.
Positives about the show: Great acting from Hall Even though he is a serial killer, he ONLY kills bad people. Cool guest stars, especially Smits
Negatives: Dexter's girlfriend Rita is sort of a drag on the show now. (Her ex-husband was JACOB!!!) They killed off a very COOL character...but I won't say so I don't spoil anything. Some of the leads they get land right on their laps.

Oh hell yes. That sounds like one of the best casting decisions ever.
