So how'd you guys like it? Anyone disappointed? I went down to Gamestop after the Sony Conference finished and one of the workers was saying he was going to cry because the Nintendo conference was bad. Nintendo usually holds their information until the TGS though. There were a lot of good games revealed in the past two days. I am SO excited. Final Fantasy XIII is going to be on the Xbox360... The only reason I bought a PS3 was for that game. Sigh. There are some good games coming out for the PS3 though.. I think Little Big Planet will win best of E3 this year. Fallout has a chance at beating it. For those who couldn't watch the show, do you want me to post a summary?

I liked it. FFXIII was definitely a great surprise. That would of been the only reason for me to get a PS3 and now I don't need too (and I doubt I ever would). Gears of War 2 looks awesome, Fable 2 looks promising and Fallout seems great with the different ways it can let you play. Who doesn't want to go up the elevator of the Washington Monument in a postapocalyptic Washington DC? I am not a fan of the new Xbox avatar thing. I want to keep the dashboard.
Yea Nintendo was a letdown but the best bit seems to be the new Wiimote add-on that gives you 1:1 motion control. Please let this be implemented into Star Wars: Force Unleashed. And Sony I don't care, 256 player match, good luck with that. I wouldn't want to be the guy lagging.

Haha! Good point about the lag! I really don't like the idea of that game in the first place. FFXIII Versus is still PS3 exclusive also. I don't like the avatar thing very much either.

Blaw: The Dashboard isn't really going away, it's kinda getting modified, to the best of my knowledge...I think. I'm not down with the avatar thingy either though. And ohhhh man.. lag.. I know I'd kill someone.
Fallout 3: AWESOME. They sold me on the nuclear bomb launcher.
Gears of War 2: They kicked it up a notch. New weapons, new stuff to do in game (ex, using wounded Locust as shields) and the "Horde" endurance mode sounds hella awesome. For those who don't know, it's up to 5 player Co-op against wave after wave of Locust with increasing difficulty.
Resident Evil 5: Looks pretty flippin sweet. The visuals in that game are particularly awesome, in my opinion.
And lets hear it for PORTAL!!! A new version of Portal, "Still Alive", is being released on XBox Live Arcade sometime soon. New maps, new achievements. ^^

So far Microsoft has bought my love with Fall Out 3, Gears of War 2 and Banjo Kazooie, no clue why but I love the game. I also just keep seeing more games that I want to get like Mirrors Edge got my attention. Also with Sony they have made me want to break down and spend all my money on an HD TV and a PS3 through Little Big Planet, MAG and God of War 3. Now I was not very impressed by Nintendo. The only thing that got my interest was Wii Music. The new Wii Sports is interesting but nothing that made me want to get a Wii yet. Other wise theres was nothing but a bunch of numbers and patting them selves on the back on how well they have sold. Now my interests have turned to third parties and can't wait to see what everyone has.

I'm unsure of how Banjo Kazooie will turn out. With Microsoft now working on it, the game may lose some of the luster it originally had.. of course, I hope it doesn't.
I feel that, overall, PS3 is letting some people down. One of Sony's major titles, Final Fantasy XIII, is going to be released on Xbox 360 in North America and Europe. So people like Shelby who bought a PS3 with FFXIII in mind can't be too happy right now. While I am happy to know I'll be able to play, it's still kinda sad.
The only reasons in my near future to buy a PS3 are now
new Resistance game Ratchet & Clank Final Fantasy Versus XIII (still a PS3 exclusive, at least for now) and Little Big Planet
and a Blu-ray player. Is it worth it? Hmm...

Am I the only one who thought Nintendo's Press Conference was lame, or is it just me? To me, it feels as though Wiimania is wearing off and Nintendo is slipping behind Sony and Microsoft. They're reaching out to a new kind of audience now, and I don't think that's wrong, but I think that, sooner or later, they're gonna realize it. I feel let down by Nintendo. On another note, did anyone see the PS3 game inFamous? That game looks AMAZING. It's an open world, third person game where you function as someone with a power - the power they demonstrated was lightning. Apart from the fact that you can really use your environment to your advantage (ex, conductive electricity), the ways you can play the game looks really cool. You can do whatever you want, but either way, you end up infamous. Coupled with Ratchet and Clank and LittleBigPlanet, I think there are some really cool new reasons to grab a PS3 sometime soon.

Everyone realizes that Nintendo was behind the rest, they say so on G4, and everyone I've talked to has said so. We all hope they can make up for it at TGS, but I have a feeling they won't... who knows.
I'm actually kind of excited for Tom Clancy's HAWX. I've been itching for a jet game. End War looks cool too, kinda like Starcraft but with realistic units..and voice controls.

HAWX looks freakin awesome. Just for once, I want to play a jet fighter sim OTHER than Ace Combat. And HAWX is looking pretty good. End War isn't so much my thing, but the voice controls that they were showing on G4 looked pretty intuitive.

I've used voice controls before, and they make games sweet.. even if they don't work very well. Apparently in End War it works 95% of the time though.
