I was listening to your last podcast (the mp3 one) and you were talking about Sawyer not getting hit by the bullets. There are many jokes on other boards about how a fence protected him.
The shooters were not aiming at Sawyer. They knew he would go back into the house with Ben so they were only aiming at those around him. They wanted Sawyer scared and angry. So the fence didn't save Sawyer; the shooters were aiming at the fence.
Remember once Sawyer got into the house he asked why shoot us for no reason and Ben said to make you angry so you would toss me out. Then Sawyer goes to throw him out but then Miles knocks at the door and Sawyer's is distracted.
