Just listened to the latest Ramblecast. The guys talked about how Eli Manning said that he would never play for the Chargers, and so didn't like him. They also talked about John Elway and rooting for him to win a Super Bowl. You might not remember it, but Elway did the same thing to the Baltimore Colts in the 1983 draft. He flat out said that if he was drafted by the Colts, he wouldn't play. Eli was just taking a play out of Elway's book. You can't dislike one for that reason and let the other off the hook. They are both babies.

Yeah and that Super Bowl of Denver vs Packers was so lopsided for Denver to win it was sad.

Redsox - Well, I guess he had a good reason then. I'm sure you're right. Elway was completely in the right for saying he wouldn't play for Baltimore, but not Eli and the Chargers. What a jerk that guy is!

I want the Colts. I don't like the Bears. And I have lots of friends in Illinois, and just want to watch them squirm when they lose.

I've been a Colts fan since I was about 12, before Peyton and Marvin came to town and we were lucky to even make it into the playoffs. I'm sorry to hear what Eli said about San Diego. But that has no effect on me still being a Colts fan. There's a difference between being a fan of one guy and being a fan of a team.

After hearing what Eli said about San Diego, I'm starting to have my doubts about him. That was just a really dumb thing to say.

I think it has less to do with the being a baby and more to do with not wanting to play for their favorite team.
