that was my initial reaction to WOW. but then my friend got it and explained that since that's the only game he plays (and yet he manages to fit like 3 hours per day in with football and school), that it actually saves him money, with the alternative being buyying at least 3-4 new games each year that would run the cost up. Also i heard through the rumor mill that some new-gen games could be costing up to $110, so that's a good 7 months at 15/mo

I deleted all my posts hehe. I have a reason for doing so. But I do believe I can ask this.
Anyone want to be in beta for Lord of The Rings Online? It's a closed beta. PM me for details.
Oh and hypothetically let's say I play LOTRO right now. I wouldn't play anything else at the moment.

oooh gotchya. so if you hypthetically were a beta tester but weren't allowed to publicly post anything about it, what would your hypothetical overall impression of the game be?

From what I hear from other people...
This one guy who plays WOW (I don't play WoW so it isn't me) says that this game is very cool. They said this game has a lot of depth and story to it. They called WoW "a bit shallow" and said that LOTRO has great quests.

oooh cool. sounds good. It'll be interesting to see how the online community devolops, which is something that beta testing simply cannot simulate.
