K, just going to be a quick one, but I think it is very significant.
I left the forums for a while a few months ago, thanks to school and work. It was terrible leaving it, so many familiar faces (Dez, frodofreak, ModMatt, Pogs, etc) saying goodbye to. Well, I finally returned, and it appears that these familiar faces have been replaced by new people. Now, its always cool to get new people, but with these new people comes bad, how do I say this, bad mojo. I constantly see more backbiting, more mean words to people when they say one thing or another, more slander towards one person's theory or ideas. Its very depressing for a veteran (I think I am one) like me. There is this forum that I occasionally post on called the Pendragon Forums. Its an official forum by the writer of the Pendragon series. It is a terrible place, where harsh words and slanderous things are said just because a new person comes along. The veterans are constantly spamming around, spreading cruel words to newbies who are just starting in the message board posting world. I don't, I REPEAT, I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THIS PLACE TURN OUT THAT WAY!!!! Mods, you all are doing an exceptional job, but as the fanbase for Jay&Jack grows, so will its fanbase for the message boards. I understand you guys can't stop everything that is going on, but please assure me that this place won't turn into the garbage dump that the Pendragon Forums has turned into. I don't know what I would do if this place became a breeding ground for spammers and mean people.
Like I said, I love hearing new things from new people, its what makes this place great. But please don't come here and spam and say mean things. Go to some other forum and do that.
