i need ideas for a short story iin english class. it can be about anything as long as the main character suffers. any ideas?

hmm. I'll try a freestyle.. lesse... it might totally stink but anyways  it wont be full sentences either
young school kid - wakes up - mom makes breakfast - calls him from downstairs - he goes to brush his teeth, showers, put on his clothes, goes to his bedroom window, looks outside, notices it's going to be a nice clear sunny day even though it's fall and he smiles as he thinks of Angela, that girl that winked at him in class. As he was about to turn around to head on downstairs, the complete lower level of the house explodes with a violent ear popping WOOOOOSH and he gets pushed back by the pressure difference and flies thru the window.
Everything is black. Where am i? What's this? It's soo unbelievably quite... Wait, i hear something. A faint screeching noise gets louder and louder and his vision goes from black to blurry ad then his ears pop and he hears dogs bark and neighbours scream and fire crackle. He looks at his house. His home. He doesnt yet realized what the heck he's looking at. What? What is this?
Then in a flash he sees himself brushing his teeth, looking into the shower rain, changing clothes, mom calling him, watching through the window, and then...
No, .... N... Noooo, mommie? Mommieeeeeeeee!!!
ow, this story has gotten way more intense then i'd suspect. Sorry if this wasnt what u meant by suffering. Don't click the spoiler if you don't want to read a story about a litle kid losing him mom in a horrible accident. |

lol, i like it. exalt!!! my teacher doesnt really care about what the story is about, he just wants the main character to suffer. so keep the wacky ideas coming. if we mix 'em all together, maybe we'll come up with something pretty cool.

Well, there are people stranded on a desert island with evil good guys, secret orginazations, little hatches, living smoke clouds, crazy french chicks, and mysterious survivors. The main character, lets call him Bob. He learns how to live on this island with others and all of the above things mentioned. He is cut, bruised, and scrached a lot on the island. The smoke cloud eats him. Now that's suffering.  |
