Jay is obviously from San Diego, California and Jack doesn't sound like he is a day over 35 and hails from Pennsylvania. Jay has a completely different voice/way of talking and their senses of humor are very different as well. Jack has been married since 1989, not long after high school. I'm not sure if he went to college (did Jay and Jack meet at school?) but he is definitely married to a cheerleading coach, which is why he has to go to all the contests. I do feel for you man. Jay is in Raleigh for college. It's his first degree and it's in music. I'm not sure why he chose a school in Raleigh, NC or which one (because he should TOTALLY be in Julliard, right?) or atleast in Greensboro, NC where their music school is very well known. So anyways (DING!) Jack and Jay did NOT meet at a bar because Jay doesn't drink. They MIGHT have met at school, where Jack is (finally?) getting his degree in (hmm, let me think for a second...) child psychology. Anyhoo (does this get a ding too?) the most likely theories for how they met is through work. I don't think Jay has mentioned having a job in the recent podcasts I've heard so my guess is that Jay was really sick one day and had to go to an all night Super-KMart to get medicine and that's where he met Jack who was getting tampons for his wife after a shift at the local Foot Locker. The rest is history.

That's a good theory Theresa,it made me laugh!! But Jay and Jack already said they were father and son, so do people think they are not telling the truth? I was just curious why it is still being debated on here.

new evidence in the podcast today, if i could find it, something suddle that jack said made me think that they were related...o well, i can't find it and i don't want to listen to the whole podcast again.
Also, it's kinda weird for them to be friends that around nearly 20 years apart, and always hang out and watch the episodes together. It's like they live together or something.

I, for the longest time, assumed that Jack was Jay's step-father, cause they have said in a few podcasts that Jack was married to Jay's mom.

Well, they both work at a skating rink in Raleigh, NC (which has been mentioned on the podcast) in which, internet research has uncovered, there are three folks with the same last name listed as employees (one being a woman). One of the three has the first name Jack and another the name JJ. Furthermore, Podzinger lists the website as being registered to someone by the name Jeremiah (and Jack ain't no nickname for that). So, given the same last names and given how unlikely it would be that there would be a Jay & Jack sharing the same last name at more than one skating rink in Raleigh - I would say it's safe to conclude, at the very least, that the two are indeed related. Brothers? Step father and son? Actual father and son? Gay marriage? You be the judge. (However, I don't think gay marriage is legal in NC, so I'm ruling that one out)
