Its my name.....sometimes I go as cody1234 because cody is already taken. I'm not creative enough. Plus I had this bad screen name in highschool(which was cool at the time) but then it became lame, but I was stuck with the screen name. Now I just go with my name

I could give the short or the long explanation to this one... I never tend to write anything short so guess which one I will do. Heh
A long time ago, back when the net was mostly text and evolved forms of BBS' connected to the larger "internet", I was known as Goldeneye. Most thought it was a reference to the Dragonlance character (the evil wizard with gold eyes, Raistlin) but it was actually a Bond reference (it was the name of Ian Flemming's large estate). Then the announcement came out that the new bond movie (previously only known as Bond 18) was going to be called Goldeneye. My nick became useless. Dozens of Goldeneye's showed up on the net, the IRC, and everywhere. I was being kicked out of places I frequented by hacker upstarts taking the name as their own... So I needed a new name.
While trying to figure out what to be, I used variations of Goldeneye, like Au-N-I (my favorite) and Golden-I, but those where temporary to let people know it was me in chat.
At the time I was running one of my best adventures (known as Ravendorn's Quest) with my second incarnation of my gaming group (The Traveler's of Karn). It took place in the world I created (Karn) and lead to the creation of my new game, using my own rules and everything (The Land of Karn, hopefully to be published one day). We had 6 regular players and the occasional guests. We also had 5 regular NPCs that traveled with the group, mostly as the lead character's soldiers (Sir Althea's Men).
I don't generally include generic NPCs, so they all had their own background and interesting stories and ticks of their own. One of them was Fredrik Dragavan. He was just an arrogant soldier with a mysterious past, but he quickly became the most popular character of the story, even though he wasn't important to the main plot. He was raised in rank to Althea's Sergeant. He was involved in the best love story to ever appear in one of my games (eventually even leading to his marriage to one of the player characters, his beloved Sadie). In many ways he became My character, even though the GM is not really supposed to have an actual character of his own.
I started using the name to write the game under, as a pseudonym, and as the name of my future gaming company (Dragavan Games). I figured it would make a good nick to replace Goldeneye, and it has become more a part of me than GE ever was. I use it as my name for everything I do creatively. I write, go on-line, draw, create, build, game, and everything under this name. The only places it is not used is in my relationships with family, my job, and local friends. Otherwise, I AM Dragavan... Or Drag for short. Nobody calls me Freddy (other than Sadie) and gets away with it. Heh
If you are at all interested in learning or reading more about Dragavan, Sadie, Sir Althea, and the rest of the travelers of Ravandorn's Quest I have started posting the unedited chapters to the novel I am writing of their story in my dA account. Link through the LOST pic in my sig (or go to dragavan.deviantart.com) and check out my gallery for the chapters I have posted so far... Starting with the prologue (which may have been pushed to page two by now)... and any feedback or critique could be greatly appreciated.

very interesting story about your screen name Dragavan.
Mine is fairly simple, I used my dog's name (ginger) and my lucky number (23) not so interesting....

Gus is always taken already on the internet, so I just put evil in front of it. Actually there is no other gus on here, maybe I can change it? I will have to ask Jay.

Yes you can change it, just go to your profile.
but that only changes the way it appears to everyone, it doesn't change what you use to login with.

Mine would be zero0eyeQ. Meh. I thought it was pretty clever at the time (way back in fifth grade) but I haven't bothered changing it.

Mine's from "Lazy Sunday", the Chronicles of Narnia joke-ish "rap" thing from SNL. They're crazy for these cupcakes and they want "Two..no six...no, twelve, BAKERS DOZEN!"
