to me its no drink, but fuel. I`m varying the strengh though (from what I heard, the US coffee isnt strong anyways).
There are days when I have like 2 Liters (thats 1000 grams of water x 2) Apropos. I like it black and steaming best.

(from what I heard, the US coffee isnt strong anyways) That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard considering coffee is imported from various regions around the world, not grown in the US. The region will determine the strength and body of the cup. Want a strong cup of coffee? Get something from Sumatra and the surrounding regions, East Africa, or an Italian roast. Lighter cups (which by the way contain just as much caffeine as a bold cup of coffee) come from Central America, Hawaii, etc..

Lighter cups (which by the way contain just as much caffeine as a bold cup of coffee) come from Central America, Hawaii, etc.. They call a long black a "cafe americano" in Italy. Last time I went to visit family, I discovered the 'Autobahn" chain of highway stops. Ben - get yourself over to Italy ASAP. You'll love this. You can stop in, pay like 1 Euro fifty, and get a shot of Italian esspresso straight up. Mmmmm... girlfriend's still asleep... think I'm gonna put the perculator on and make some black Italian goodness right now. ... Take that anyway you will. But I mean coffee.

Havent you heard of the massive German Coffee farms ? Seriously, a couple of friends and my dad told all the same stories about the "diner coffee" tasting like 1/10th of coffee mixed with hot water. And pls dont try to sell me Starbucks as coffee ,thats sugarwater with mokka flavour. If you want to try my dosage, try to get some of this and take five-seven teaspoons per cup. Of course there should be some lovely Latin & South American imports that rival this mixture. Cheers oLO

Starbucks sells coffee imported from every region around the world, and I buy lots of different kinds. I know that lots of people are very anti-Starbucks, and it's because they think that all the company does is frappuccinos. The majority of their profit still comes from whole-bean sales. I encourage you to walk in and look at their whole-bean product. There's no flavored coffee like pumpkin or anthing like that. Just region-specific coffee. My favorites are Kenya, Sumatra, and Ethiopia Sidamo.
As for diners, um... what do you expect, man? Why are you judging "America's" coffee in a freakin Denny's?

Actually I have to apologize for the offensive tone; since I havent been to the States, I should ´ve kept an open mind. PS: Imo. any franchise is resulting in a decline of quality by raising profits through quantity (from burgers to designer fashion ) . oLO
