It kind of seems to me like the writers are losing it a bit. The last four episodes were not up to scratch, IMO. What does everyone else think?

The last episode was great. The episode with Sayid was terrific. The episode with Charlie sucked, and the episode with Jack was awesome.
I like re-watching season 1 better these days, but that's just because I can't remember all of them too well. With season 2, I do, but in a few months I'd rather watch them instead of season 1. Overall, season 2 is better, in my opinion.

I'd say it's stayed consistent. Like Season One, there are some episodes that are outstanding and some aren't up to scratch, but overall I think it's still as great as ever.
