i just looked at the pics! THEY ARE SO COOL! I want to meet those people! I went to the Tony awards and met quite a few theatre people (bernadette peters, hank azaria, JULIE ANDREWS, and many more) and then i met Matthew Brodderick/Sarah jessica parker at another theatre event which was AWSOME. But i am so jelous of you! How did you get to go to the GGs?

But i am so jelous of you! How did you get to go to the GGs? I LOVE Julie Andrews! I have seen her a couple of times and she is just amazing. I work the GGs as a member of what is called "flow". We make sure that nominees are in their seats for their awards and get the presenters backstage before they go on stage. I work the press room as liaison between the press and flow and get them the winners and presenters when they are available (ie after all the awards they are nominated for have been presented. For example if someone is up for best actor and their movie/show is also up for an award, we would not bring them to press until both awards have been presented.) We also escort top of the show presenters and nominees down the red carpet to ensure that they are in their seats when the show starts, so they don't miss their award due to having their picture taken or being interviewed by Extra. I was escorting Jeremy Irons this year so that is how I ended up in the red carpet pictures. I tried to stay in the background, but those darn photographers got me anyway. (I found out a week later that I was in People Magazine behind JLo. ) Sorry to ramble on, but the GGs is my favorite award show to work. Even though I have worked over a hundred shows, it is by far the most fun. |
