I'm from Ohio too and I've emailed the show.  Jay and Jack have read my emails on the show so...it's all good! Hopefully the East Coast Gathering will be somewhere relatively close to here. |

yeah i hear ya. ive been to hershey before, on the school foreign lang trip at the end of 8th grade. we got stuck goin there cuz it normally goes to DC but it was right after 9/11 so they changed it

I've been there too when I was a kid, it was cute. Don't get to Ceder Point much Shirna, I'm not into roller coasters much anymore. And now that I have a house I'm usually too busy. I swear it never seems like I have much time to do anything fun. We're going to the Air Force Museum in Dayton and the Columbus Zoo (yey! Penguins!) next weekend though. Can't wait.

The seals are right up front!!!! I am a seal freak!!!!!! They are sooo cute! Especially when they are babies with those big black eyes! aahhhhhhh |

aww seals are cute. WPAFB is pretty cool, tho ive been there like 10 times and it gets boring. i havent been to a zoo in forever  |

I love the Toledo Zoo, we've gone there for the Christmas Zoo lights for the past several years. My brother in law works at Honda in Marysville so we decided to stop by WFAFB too when we visit him (way too far to drive just to sit around in his apartment). Both my grandpas and my uncle are veterans so we wanted to stop by in honor of them.

I love going to the zoo, especially the nicer ones. The Cleveland Zoo needs to update things but it's better than nothing. At least I can see some seals when I want to now that they took away Sea World. I'm so mad about that. My desk at work is covered with seals. Especially Harp Seal Pups. I always wanted to be a Marine Biologist....just could never get through the cutting open Biology classes, ya know? It broke my heart to do it. Someday I live closer to them in the wild though, at least that's the plan. I'd have a seal avatar but I've tried to input an avatar MANY times, and other forum members have been sweet enough to try to help me do it but, it never seems to work. The URL's never stay put when I modify my profile....oh well |

The Cleveland Zoo is getting better, their newer exhibits are pretty nice (I love the Wolf lodge) but you're right, lots of it does need updating. I love watching the seals. I wish they had manatees at Cleveland too. I didn't do so great in Bio either, I hated disections. I can't eat anything I ever had to disect in class. I had to take it though for my degree so I always made sure I had someone with a really strong stomach to be my lab partner. |
