Hey am i the only who was completely let down by the finale of heroes. It was absolute dross! A complete an utter anti-climax. And talk about plot holes!!! here's some questions for you. (and in case you haven't seen it yet i'll spoiler tag it for you like the nice little boy i am.)
1) So once Peter had claires power, what was the point of her again?
2) why did nathan have to sacrfice himself when a) peter could fly b) anyone could have shot him c) hiro could have teleported them somewhere?
3) how lame was the new "super villain" who is "worse than sylar" that molly mentioned. such a poor attempt at "teasing" the audience for next year. if he's so bad, why didn't we hear about him before from somewhere? lame lame lame.
4) where was this mass collaboration from the heroes that was suppossed to be the only way that sylar could be stopped?
5) the fight between peter and sylar? was there one? or was it just a couple slaps and a choke hold? rubbish.
6) sylar sneeks off down a manhole and no one bothers to stop him or even notice? terrible.
7) hiro ending up in medieval japan? how cheesy and teenage mutant ninja turtles 3 was that? my toes curled.
8) lindeman was this very threatning presence throughout the show and then is killed before the finale and has absolutely no impact on nathan or his mother? what is going on?
what a waste a perfectly good tv series with unparalelled potential. it's almost impressive that they fudged it up so amazingly. let's hope lost doesn't ever do this....

Now that you put it that way - you are - as you guys say over there - "spot-on". It's like they tried to do too much and really accomplished nothing aside from giving HRG a name. You have valid points.

2) a) Maybe he can't yet do 2 powers at a time; b) would that suffice? Ted blew House up anyway when he was on the ground; c) Then Hiro would've died maybe, and he was thrown in the building by Sylar before anyone could tell him to do so.
3) Maybe it's someone we already know!?
4) A lot of them were there... But you are right, could've been more.
5) Yeeeah.... Catfight.
6) Well that was supposed to happen.
7) Maybe we find out who Kensei is? Maybe it was Hiro in the past...
8) I also thought that if he was killed it'd be more spectacular. Well maybe he isn't dead..... Well, my shot....

Yeah Peter said while he was about to explode, 'I can't do anything.' Maybe he meant he can't use any of his other powers. That's what I thought!
And beganing Season 2 at the end was just cheezy and lame!

Maybe it would've been to boring and Nathan was supposed to sacrifice himself??? Ok to be honest, the flying-away thing was totally predictable as soon as I read the spoiler that the bomb would go off. It was like "DUH! I knew it!"

i agree to some extent, but i did like quite a bit of it such as Hiro,i thought he was good in the episode and i really liked mohinder and sylar in the episode.so glad he has survived.i really hated the peter dream thingy-it was a waste of time which could have been used on a big smackdown!

Well, I'd say that Peter couldn't fly because he was just barely holding the explosion in check.
Also, question I had was if he is about to blow up, why all the dialog between Nathan and everyone. I mean I understand the need for a swan song for Nathan, but the dude behind him is about to go Nuclear and there is time for a nice touchy feely goodbye dialog?
In general I liked the finale. I like where they look to be going with it. It's not as well written as Lost and the plot lines some times are surprising, sometimes obvious.
Ever since they showed Hiro's ancestor, I pretty much assumed that Hiro would actually be going back and becoming that person. Still, I'm looking forward to it. It's a fun show, even if it isn't quite on par with Lost.

That whole ancient Japan was what I think is that "Heroes Origins" that they are doing next year. I think it might be him in the past and learning about the beginning of all heroes.

i liked the finale. It wasnt as great as it could havve been though. The end was TRIPPY! ahhh i no comprendo! haha. anyway, the one thing they should have done was make the Peter/sylar fight longer/better...that could have been epic. Too much Special effects money though...

I was thinking about it and maybe Peter didn't just fly himself because it took both their flying abilities to get that high.

Or he was crippled by the radiation over powering him.
