Did anyone else agree that this was a fantastic movie?! I just saw it last night and loved it! The little boy was the most adorable thing i have seen in a movie since freddie highmore in finding neverland (and before that, haley joel osment in sixth sense). Its so cool cuz the guy who crosses them at the very end is the actual guy! (cuz its a true story) I just thought that was a great movie and deserved some recognition... ;D

It was pretty good. I was especially happy that my email was read and praised somewhat on the Filmspotting podcast, that made me happy!
My only problem with the movie, and people disagree with me on this, is that Chris Gardner was too perfect of a person. He seemed too hapyp and content in his dire circumstances, even with his girlfriend nagging him all the time. Sure he gets mad, but its pretty justified in the context of the story. But some people disagree, so I'll just leave it alone.

Yeah that was me! I saw it the day it came out, one of the few times I've seen a movie before them. So I thought, hey, why not send them my thoughts, even tho they probably won't read it. I was extatic when I heard them using it to intro the show! Yeah, small world... actually I think its more of a small podcast world. There aren't too many of us podcast listeners who write shows, so we're bound to cross in places. But yeah, I LOVE Filmspotting... but I don't say if I like it better than Jay & Jack.... .......jk I don't.

^Yeah, I love to talk movies, except, I haven't seen many that Filmspotting would say are "in the pantheon." I've seens alot of movies over the past 2 years or so, and not so many before that, so I'm not a real movie buff. lol. I'm dying to see Dreamgirls, but its not opening in my theatre for another 2 weeks!!!! AHHH!!!
Ok, sorry, off topic.

I haven't seen it yet - but have heard good things. Just wondering though - has anyone heard why they spell it wrong in the title "HappYness?" Is it referenced in the movie? (Not that I'm one to talk - I live by spell check

On a wall outside of the little boy's daycare, somebody painted the word "happyness" as part of a mural. His dad (Will Smith as Chris Gardner) calls attention to this a couple times, but the people are Chinese (I think) and don't understand him very well, or at least act like they don't.

I just saw this movie tonight...
I have to say, I liked it more than I thought I would. Will Smith is just amazing in pretty much anything he does. And I thought the story had heart...it almost had me crying at the end .
