If it was just one review knocking it, it wouldn't be too bad. But pretty much any reputable critic is putting the boots to this.
That said, there are worse movies for kids to watch.

I just saw Eragon last night. It is the most blatant rip-off of Star Wars I've ever seen. Lame.

I gotta hand it to the kid: if I were his parents, or even him, I'd reccomend sellingthe movie rights and let the producers fall on their swords over it, and run away with the money. The book's pretty decent, and seeing the film, I thought yeah - it was crap - but the kid's made a mint. Go Paolini. I shall exalt you if I see you in the street, hoping you buy me a drink. Or a mansion. Which ever you feel is right. |
