It's more of a link between The Stand and LOST.
And no problem. I hate flaming people. And actually, to feel kinda stupid, I didn't see the ending coming. Guess I didn't pay enough attention to the little details.
Going a little off topic here. There is another series that I truly loved called Animorphs. If you haven't heard about it, pm me cause it will take a lot of space to explain it in detail. Anyway, in the last book, it seems that the big bad guys are taken down, every one is happy, and evryone goes on with their lives. But a new old enemy returns, one that is hinted at a lot, and kidnappes one of the Animorphs, so they decide to save him. The final paragraph pissed me off so much, I almost wrote a cruel email to the writer. She could have written one more chapter to finish everything up, but she decided not to. She also did the same thing in Everworld, only it would have only taken one more book. This made me really mad, and to this day, I still don't understand why she did that.
BTW, sorry about the spoilers JLSK.

..i didn't read the book series but i really really dislike an author's book as soon as they put themselves in it, not all authors but when they put themselves as a central character somewhere deep inside just sets something off lol it's basically trying to flatter urself or compliment urself in ur own personally way ya know

Haven't read more than the first book in the Dark Tower series (and it was the original, not the 2nd edition) but on the whole I prefer King's Bachman books, including The Long Walk, as noted above. The Running Man is probably my favourite.
I've heard Frank Darabont is adapting his short story 'The Mist' which would make a terrific movie.
