I just saw this film tonight
I had read reviews that didnt shine to this film much. I don't really follow reviews much because some critics just like to point out bad points in a film that rather state the good. Anywho, i saw this film, and i prepared myself, even though i "dont listen to the critics", i still prepared myself for this film to be boring and really bad......
....IT WAS GOOD! i wouldnt say its a film of the year, but its worth paying that couple of bucks to see. The way shyamalan introduced characters, how he progressed the story and returning back to things we forgot, it was good. Shymalan really brings a sense of creativity into his stories and this is what sets his films aside from others.
This is also one of those films that makes you think about the film long after you have finsihed watching it. Shyamalan + imaginitive story + creativity = good film
7.9 / 10
has anyone else seen it?

Well... no. But I did see the parody on AOTS. "M. Night Shyamalan's M. Night Shyamalan Video Diaries ... by M. Night Shyamalan"
Intern: *opens pizza box and it's full of salad* Shyamalan: "TWIST!"

I saw it a couple weeks ago. I too thought it was better than the critics made it out to be...I liked the mythology in the story and the quirky characters. One thing I disliked was how misleading the trailer was. I remember seeing it several weeks ago and thinking "Oooh, another creepy movie, can't wait to see it." The movie had very few frightening moments and most of them were shown in the trailer. I hate when that happens Overall though, I was pleasantly suprised by how much I enjoyed "Lady in the Water"

I actually kind of liked it, despite what the critics said. I mean, I can see why some people wouldn't enjoy it but I found it really sweet.

It's awesome to see some good reviews for the movie. I'm planning to see Lady in the Water hopefully some time soon.
Yeah, when I first saw the trailer (which was around last Nov. if memory serves me correct), I actually thought it was supposed to be some sort of odd romance movie because of the way everything was presented, so I didn't want to see it. I should never judge films with the view of its first trailer...

yeah i agree, the trailer was misleading. When i went to see it i was expecting to see a horror movie, but my friend told me that it wasnt, its "a bedtime story". but i still really enjoyed it, the characters were cool, such as... the guy with the huge muscles on one side of his body, that was awsome. and in the end he turned out to be an important person ;D
