Been listening to The Black Crowes new album Warpaint. I highly recommend it, especially "There's Gold in Them Hills" and "Whoa Mule".

Time to necro this thread...
I've gotten back into both Collective Soul and Bush. Seriously, how can you say you don't like "Shine" and "Comedown"
Though heavier songs like "Heavy" and "Machine Head" are totally awesome as well ;D

Carolina Drama is one of the best songs ever. It blew my frickin mind. YEAH! Oh thank you Steve, none of my siblings appreciate that song, but it's my favorite on the record. That climax in the middle, amazing. The white milk dripped down with the bloooood Youtube'd that Dan Le Sac song, awesome as well. His lyrics are very intelligent. I love "Thou Shalt Always Kill".

yeah, when i first listened to the cd, that was the song that got me the most. it's just a really really good one.
and i love dan le sac/scroobius pip's lyrics too. when i saw them they started the beat to "Thou Shalt Always Kill" about halfway through their set and everyone started cheering, but then he said "If we play that now, you're all just going to get up and leave. We're not f***ing idiots, you know."
btw i'm listening to Carolina Drama right now, i love that part near the end "just then his little brother came in, holding a milkman's hat and a bottle of gin and singin la la la la, la la la la, yeah...." etc

I've been meaning to check them out. Wikipedia lists them as blues-rock, garage rock, and indie rock. (Translation: the PERFECT band.) Neeeeeding one of their records. I guess I could listen to Brendan Benson's solo stuff, too, but I'm not as eager to hear that. He's sort of a pretty boy. Atm though, listening to Colin Meloy- A Cautionary Song (Live) Thanks, bootlegger!
