The Historian By Elizabeth Kostova, The Lightning Thief By Rick Riordan, Merchant of Death By DJ MacHale, Stormbreaker By Anthony Horowitz, Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, Hamlet By Shakespeare, The Princess Bride By William Goldman..I went a little overboard, sorry 'bout that.
I just started reading TKaB, it seems really good so far.

I am reading "Until I Find You" by John Irving. He has, for the nth time, reused themes of Amsterdam and prostitution, which disappoints me. Have an original idea for pete's sake. Loved his "Widow For One Year", my first Irving book.

Gotta read "Treasure Island" for English now. Like it though, already read it twice. Nice and simple, and it gives you an excuse to talk like a pirate when you read aloud in class

We're reading Julius Casear for english...it's a play but still pretty good. I like it better than Romeo and Juliet which we had to read last year.

"My Ishmael", the sequel to "Ishmael", by Daniel Quinn. There books contain the most profound and revolutionary ideas I have ever read/heard of/even imagined. The description doesn't do it justice at all, but you have to trust me on how terrific it is. "Ishmael" is about this lonely/confused young man who reads the newspaper article that says, "Teacher seeks pupil. Must have an earnest desire to save the world. Apply in person." So this man goes into a downtown building where the address is, and sits down in a huge armchair placed in the center of the room. He looks up to the one wall of the room which is different that the others...it is made of glass. And through the glass, sitting in the other room...was a huge gorilla! (I know, this next part sounds ridiculous but please bear with me) The gorilla, named Ishmael, communicates telepathically with the man, teaching him the history of man and the fate of mankind. All the philosophy is so complex that I won't even begin to delve into them, but please read!

My college textbooks for drawing, psychology, and my world lit book - The Epic of Gilgamesh. Yes sharky, I know. When she said we were going to read it, I thought, "Enkidu's Friend" from the crossword puzzle clue Locke was working on in "Collision". Lost moments...love 'em. My prof. pronounces his name "Inky-doo" though. ;D

i finished dracula last week, i thought it was AWSOME!!!! alittle gruling when Van Helsing goes off into one of his little speaches but still good. I also read "Into the Wild" which was also very good. Its about this guy who graduates college and donates the rest of his money to charity and goes off to live in the wilderness (we not exactly) with nothing but like a backpack worth of stuff. I liked it but sometimes the author would start talking about randome other people and there expeditions and such, and yeah they related to the plot, but i found them annoing becasue they got in the way of the main part of the story. rent it buy it, what ever, its a good, quick read (200 pages) or wate a year casue there making it into a movie for 2007.
