Has anyone here read Shogun? That's a heck of a book. I read Shogun a bunch of years back and remember loving it. "Brackforn!" That's a backbreaker, carrying it around. I had this AM/FM alarm clock with a speaker that was broken and permanently stuck in mega-high volume, so for years I kept my copy of Shogun on the speaker to muffle the noise so I wouldn't flip out every time I woke up. I kind of taped it on there. Worked wonderfully until I bought a new alarm clock. I'm reading The Brief and Frightening Reign of Phil by George Saunders.

I know this doesn't belong here, but isn't there supposed to be a Ramblecast today?

Umm, so I know I said yesterday that I was reading 1984... and I still am, but I have been distracted by this non-fiction book called "The Monster Show" about the cultural history of horror. Loving it. I am such a film nerd.
Anyways, ding, I'm pretty sure we are getting a ramblecast at some point today.
And on a completely different topic, Blaw... I love Pennsylvania. Thought you should, it is pretty much my favorite state and that's means a lot seeing as I am a pretty proud Texan.

I am currently reading The Chronicles of Taron: One Hero.
PM me if you wanna know who wrote it. I don't want to shamelessly plug. Might get me in trouble.

I finished 1984 today and I completely loved it. Scary, yes, but still amazing.
So now I'm rereading one of my favorite books, Therese Raquin, written by Emile Zola. Very dark and intense.

I am reading, Pennsylvania Driver's Manual. It has a very intriguing plotline, with many twists, and you can really relate to the characters. Definetely the best book ever written.
