well he was really good in punch drunk love and that was a serious role but I dont know how he would do as a soldier in wwII all I know is tarantino has talked to him about it and he is interested, the only people officially on board are michael madsen and tim roth, 2 of the usual suspects. I wouldnt be surprised if steve buscemi is in it too
but we are way off topic here, this is about pirates.

I got it on dvd a while ago. I just watched it in October, so I watched it w/ commentary from Orlando and the director. I've heard better commentary, but not bad

No, I don't work at a movie theater. I'll wait till it comes out on DVD. And what is this war film Tarantino has a hand in? I know he's just doing Grind House with Rodriguez.

I just got back. It was really good, I liked it. good special effects, but I'd say its not as good as the original. And its kinda frustrating just like every movie that they don't listen to simple logic. *Shrugz*

I just saw it as well. The ending made me mad...but it was good. I agree the original is way better.

how did the ending make you mad? I thought it was a great cliff hanger and is a great set up for number 3

ah I see but you know he will be brought back, if he was dead then the 3rd would suck. but the fact that barbosa was ressurected brings to mind a bunch of different ways the 3rd one could go.

when I was watching again at work about half way through you can start to tell how it is just setting up for the 3rd, they were both filmmed at the same time and I think they are made to be like one continous film, thats why it might ave seen a little anti-climactic because it is all a set up for the climax which is pirates 3
