Just got this from Scifiwire:
Fox Open To More Futurama
Peter Liguori, president, entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Co., told reporters he's leaving the door open to resurrecting the canceled SF animated series Futurama. Liguori, speaking in a news conference at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour in Pasadena, Calif., referred to the network's decision last year to bring back Family Guy after the show became a hit on DVD.
"There's no doubt that the Family Guy model worked outstandingly," Liguori said. "It's great to be a network exec and have a decision made for you by the audience."
Liguori added: "In terms of Futurama, there haven't really been any active negotiations at this point. But I'd be an ostrich to just stick my head in the dirt and not realize what's going on with Futurama as well."
Variety reported earlier that initial talks were underway between the production company, 20th Century Fox TV, and producers of the show, about a 21st century guy is frozen and wakes up in the year 3000. The show has sold well on DVD.
Before Futurama comes back into being, 20th first must secure deals with the show's production team, as well as voice stars including Billy West (Fry), Katey Sagal (Leela) and John DiMaggio (Bender), the trade paper reported. It's also unclear where Futurama would end up if it is revived.

Fox is stupid.....honestly......they suck at what they do.
Cancel Family Guy, bring it back. Cancel Futurama, bring it back. In the process of canceling arrested development, it would be a big show if they had a good marketing department. SIGNED STACKED FOR ANOTHER SEASON! AHHHHHHH!
Good to hear futurama coming back.....great show

I'm not even the biggest fan. I've only seen the first season, and the only reason I saw that is because the dvds were super-cheap on amazon.com!!

I`m looking forward to more Futurama to be honest. I simply freaking love it!.
Also...Fox just cancelled Malcom in the middle. And yes, Cody was right, from what i hear, Fox sucks.

The cancelled Arrested, 70's show, and Malcom. I don't like Malcom, its funny how cute little kids can become such ugly weird looking adults. I hate the Franky Muniz

I work for the same company that runs FOX in America, and i agree, it does seem to cut some great shows for no reason.

Fox is run by a bunch of no-talent ass clowns. No offense to you. Seriously, they cancel arrested development and keep Stacked? On any other network Arrested would be a huge show.....Fox just doesn't know how to market it! And they put it against desperate housewives in the first season. When you have a show that questionable you market the crap out of it......remember what NBC did with My Name Is Earl? There were advertisements everywhere you turned, and now people watch it. My avatar is a salute to the idiots at fox

from aintitcool.com:
Break Out The Slurm! 26 New FUTURAMA Episodes Coming!! Merrick here, peeking from beneath tattered burlap with a totally fantastic bit of news... Supercool Voice Articulist (I don’t think 'articulist' is actually a word) Billy West says Matt Groening and David X. Cohen's FUTURAMA will be returning to television in the form of 26 new episodes. If memory serves, recently announce plans called for the production of 4 straight-to-DVD, feature length installments. Not sure where those plans went, or why the gravitation back to TV is happening instead, but I'll eagerly embrace, fondle, and moistly caress any FUTURAMA I can get. The original post, from Billy himself, can be found at his website HERE. But, here's the essence of his message:
I'm thisclose to selling my show Amateur Human Being,'' And the other good news is that they're doing 26 new episodes of ''Futurama'' for TV and we're hammering out the deal now.The original plan was to have the DVD's first but that's no longer the case.I'm totaly jammed dude. Greetings from the year 3000! It still sucks! Billy
Wonder where these episodes will be shown? Hopefully on Cartoon Network...where they stand a chance of being aired regualrly and actually seen by viewers. Of course, failing to air a series regularly and reliably could never impact that show finding an audience...could it, Fox?

ok wow I LOVE FUTURAMA. I dont wanna be big headed but im probebly the bigest fan you will ever know!! I've been following the on going rumers of more FUTURAMA but they have been floating around for over a year now and are getting hard for me to believe. I want more futurama more than any one but it just seems made up. I havn't heard any thing new in a long time. It's just like the live action Dragonball Z movie. they are so many people saying they know who playing who . but when you look at all the sites you can tell its just all made up. A LIVE ACTION DRAGONBALL Z MOVIE WOULD BE TOTALY AWSOME but I dont think it will happen. And im scared that futurama will never again be seen by my loving face please If any one has any links or any official news Please let me know. I miss futurama. I love futurama I LIVE FUTURAMA
