Congrats Dani! +577 and I'm jealous about your starting pay! My first job (like most NYC comm jobs) only started at $30K & it wasn't worth the year of harassment and abuse I put up with lol. Good luck!!

Good luck!! 30K is definatly not enough for being harassed. I will be re-evaluated in May after I get my degree to see if I'll stay with this company (technically I'm employed and paid by a consulting company and I work at a non profit dairy company) and the pay could go up after I obtain my Bachelor's Degree. ;D

My current job promised me a raise on Nov 18, 2009 with my "promotion" of being transferred to a satellite office and taking on the responsibility of what 5 people combined did at the big office. That was a promise made on October 8, 2009. Something on my head must say "sucker" because I accepted the position and worked OT for free and come Nov 19, they told me that they don't do raises until you've been there 12 months. I know 3 people who got their raises at 6 months. I'm lucky to have a job 'in this economy' but I really must be the biggest sucker in the entire world & now I go to work every day with a little bit of bitter over it. Ah well, I make sure to play one game of FreeCell every afternoon "on the clock"

I'm excited ahout Wednesday and Thursday, it's supposed to be in the 30s yeah. HEAT WAVE!!!! It's been cold for too many months. Got any plans to celebrate this momentous occasion? ;D Sunbathing? Golfing? Barbecuing? Beach Volleyball? I worked, does that count? It might be in the high 30s but with no sun it really doesn't matter how warm it was. Because it still felt so cold.

+674 for Noid. Anyone watch the globes last night? +579 right back at ya. I did and was a little disappointed Avatar won best picture. Although, I agree it is technically and visually stunning, the story has been drilled through our minds time and time again with (Dances With Wolves, Furn Gully, The Last Samuri, .... we get it). No, points for non-original story.

Anyone watch the globes last night? Made it through about the first commercial. I figured if I wasn't hooked by then it would be just another awards show & I could check the list of winners later. Off to a "reunion" with former co-workers. Should be interesting...
