OK - I think I have the worst sense of timing known to mankind. Today I planned on spending lots of quality time on the computer finishing up on projects (read: lots of concentration) and turns out today is the day my next door neighbor decides to tear down their garage. By themselves. With nothing but a reciprocating saw and a sledgehammer. And since our houses are so close, the pounding is almost right under my window. Strange thing is, right as soon as I started working the pounding began. When I took a break for lunch, they did too. When I got back to work. So did they. SighOh, now I'm done for the day, and so are they. Double sigh  [/self pity] |

Wow I really was just kind of saying the Canada thing casually I didn't mean to start a whole political debate. Sorry to anyone who may be offended I guess I should tread more carefully next time Not to worry, you didn't offened anyone..  Colleen was right about some people using the system and messing it up for the people that really need the help. I think that since the goverment got involved in the medical field it was for the worse, I am old enough to remember how it was when they weren't and it ws so much better then. Never be afraid to give your opinion, you're young and who knows someday you may come up with an idea to make this world a better place to live. |

It's Beyond-the-Cube.com. Some of you probably know I'm out of work at the moment, and since I used to work in the world of print ads, I decided to take a few web design courses (that seems to be where a few jobs are). It seems a given that any employers in that field would want to see work online, so that's what I did - I put a few chunks of my portfolio online. My skills are nowhere near high-end, but I hope to find something that is entry level or better and has a paycheck. Later on this week I plan on sitting down with some headhunters at the employment agencies I've been talking to, so I hope to iron out the kinks in the next couple of days. I know there are things I have to work on (like making the image files smaller, and fix a funky space or two), but I'm open to critiquing. |
