Exalt to you Logan. Yeah. When are you done for the summer? I'm done June 3rd. Awwww +437 for Pogs I think I've only been around just over 2 years. I signed up in November because I *THINK* I wanted to vote on a Ramblecast Vs. back in the day, but I didn't really become active until probably later in December. So I've got a bit more to go! Well, even if you've only been around for two years, you still have the third highest post count. You've been a great contribution to these boards, and to the J & J podcasting community. Actually, I need to think of a better name for this. When I think J & J podcasting community, I think of shows like Metrobuzz, Trivia War, The Randy Rando Randonopolis show, and other such shows advertised on this forum. Can anybody else think of a better name for this family of podcasts?

+744 for Jana. Good luck packing! It's funny to think I've moved once a year since I started college (in and out of my housing there still counts bc I had to do tons of packing/unpacking). It's a big pain in the ass so I'm super glad that I'm not going anywhere for a little while haha. The packing up part is the WORST! But with the right frame of mind, the new beginning part is somewhat exciting Michael - where are you going to college? I had the same thing before my freshman year; graduated hs June 29, 2002 & went to college August 28ish 2002 Pogs - Jay & I just call it "The Community" in general.

Jlyn - schools in the Northeast always end in June. I know that the Regents exams in NY are always in June & that's why school always got out so late. All public school students take the statewide proficiency exams in either January or June at the same time on the same day & it determines whether or not you pass the class and can move on to the next level, so say if you don't pass your Earth Science Regents, you can't go to onto Biology & if you don't pass your Bio Regents, you can't move up to Chemistry, etc. If you do super well on your Regents in Math, Science, English, Social Studies, etc. then it also determines whether or not you can be in an Honors class or an AP class. Regents are flawed though because they are graded on such a curve it's ridiculous. When I was in 8th grade & started taking them, you couldn't get below a 65 yet by the time I was graduating high school, they were down to passing students with 55 or higher.
We also started school after Labor Day in NY. I think the schools in the south & wherever else start earlier and end earlier because of the heat. It doesn't get VERY hot in NY until the end of June. They have their proms here in NC at the beginning of May & I didn't have my prom until June 27, which I always thought was normal til I made friends in college who told me otherwise lol.

I have not fallen off the planet incase anyone was wondering. Andrew and I moved into an apartment last week and there is no internet there until Saturday because I am dumb and signed up for the guy to come like a week later than I had really wanted.
I miss being on here, we're at my parents house now. Going to go outside and make smores. I hope you all enjoyed LOST last week. =D

Sorry I have been absolutely dead, too. I still have 19 more GCSEs (not 19 more subjects, just 19 more exams) to sit.
But then, at the end of all this madness (11th of June) - I get a 13 week summer and my braces off. That is my incentive.

And we have also had alot of snow days; schools have to be open for 180-188 days depending on who you ask, if you have a snow day one day is added on the the year, unfortunately the end of summer never changes, and this year we got alot of snow days.

Michael - where are you going to college? I had the same thing before my freshman year; graduated hs June 29, 2002 & went to college August 28ish 2002 I am going to start with a two year school and then transfer to a four year school to get a full four year degree, the good thing about that route is you dont need to take the SATs but I took them anyways. By the way the SATs are different from the Regents tests that Colleen was talking about (yay so many tests) SATs get you into college, I've never heard the term Regents test before but I am geussing that it is just the same thing as a final exam which is what the final test is called here in CT

Regents are just a NY thing, though probably the same as the CTs. SATs are sadly something everyone has to take, though back in my day, we only were graded out of 1600 - no writing part like you youngins have now

Jlyn - schools in the Northeast always end in June. Yeah we always are done by the 2nd week in June. So I'm just suprised that the northeast goes so late in June. I wonder if it has to do with years and years ago, when the midwest had more smaller family farms. And kids are let out earlier for the planting and growing season so they would be on the farm to help out.

I haven't been around in a while. This week has been very busy. My mom and her new husband came into town Thur afternoon, so I have been working non-stop on the sorting and packing whenever I am not at work. Today was 12 hours of sorting, packing and doing laundry. Still doesn't feel like I have made a dent and I only have 3 more weeks before I leave. Keep your fingers crossed I can get another 12 hours in tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well and that you are all having a good Memorial Day weekend. Jana, it's good to see you here , I missed you. Sounds like you have been really busy. I wished that I lived close enough to you so that I could help you some. After living here for 40 yrs. I wouldn't even want to think about having to pack up to move. I wrote a PM for you a couple of nights ago and somehow it disappeared. Hope to get another one off to you real soon
