Bev, maybe you should post their phone number and we can have everyone from the boards call them and tell them off. Or we could start a twitter trend topic and get the word out that way too. And on a completely different topic, I had a nightmare about killer lobsters from outer space. And that's not even the funniest part - they were regular looking, regular sized lobsters and I don't even think they were alive. I think they were "previously frozen." Ooooh scary. The phone number for the corp. office is: 602-442-7800 that's in Arizona. Our local store is: 619-393-4663, e-mail add: for corp office: swfcustomerservice@ashleyfurniture.com. I don't know much about Twitter, but that sounds good also. I did send a complaint to the BBB office in Arizona yesterday and received an e-mail from them today stating that they sent an e-mail to Ashley's already today. I am going to also sent one to Consumer Affairs, we'll see what happens.

By the way Bev, the way that store treated you (to put it in a word) is: preposterous. It just is. I can't believe they would have that little respect/customer service/intelligence/that they would be so indolent! Thank you Ben, I just can't figure out why they are being the way that they are about it all

Yikes! Sorry to hear that Bev. I hoped the company would've treated you differently since there were safety concerns with that furniture collapsing like that. Good luck with the TV news people though. That's the stuff they live for - it just sucks that it had to happen to your family. Still waiting to hear from the TV station that I called, not sure if they are not calling back because the Co. buys advertising on the channel, I do plan on calling them again.

Wow Bev, I really hope you get your money back. That is BS that they can screw you over like that. It's amazing that they can stay in business like that. I had an issue with Time Warner last year. They kept giving me the run around for a month, finally I said forget you people. I called up DirecTV, and got a dish, with in a few days later. I hate big companies that make you feel like you do not matter. I'm really glad that no one was hurt or even worse. It's really sad the way big companies get away with so much, I am just hoping that this one doesn't.

Coll - post the Paypal battle here since you are not limited in characters. Jay is going to speak about it on this week's podcast but the gyst of it is that PayPal's customer service is about 90% non-existent. I think that customer service is almost extinct in today world they just don't seem to get it.

It's pretty good here. The weekend has been rainy and stormy. But we have not had anything severe like in Kansas and Oklahoma, Thank God. But it put a damper on the weekend because I couldn't do anything outside.
I hope next weekend is better.

I think we need a separate section other than Miscellaneous for Colleen's karma, I always see other threads being posted here and It's a shame that they are always being hidden every time someone posts here, seeing as this is one of the most popular threads I think it should have It's own section.

I bought a couch on layaway, paid for it much faster than expected (in 5 days) and I am still waiting on my couch, 32 days later. Screw Ashley Furniture... if I wouldn't lose my down payment, I would ask for my money back.

It was such lovely weather here all weekend and it's been miserable today ALL day and now I feel sick and rotten (swine flu ) AH, and my PC is dead. Like, it won't start up - so I'm having to use my parents' computer. I just hope something can be done to resurrect it from the virus infested ashes.
