Police: Ohio Woman Caught Breast-Feeding, Talking on Phone While Driving
Saturday, February 28, 2009
KETTERING, Ohio — Police in Ohio say a woman has been charged with child endangering after another motorist reported she was both breast-feeding a youngster and talking on a phone while driving.
Police in the Dayton suburb of Kettering say the caller told them he saw the woman Thursday.
Officer Michael Burke says authorities used a license plate number to track down 39-year-old Genine Compton.
He said the woman told officers she was breast-feeding and wouldn't let her child go hungry.
Burke said the legal concern is that Compton had a child in her lap while driving, not that she was breast-feeding in public.
He said the child was under 2 years old.
Police say the woman faces up to 180 days in jail and a $1,800 fine if convicted of the misdemeanor.

Now that's multitasking! I don't know what's more disturbing - the fact that she was breastfeeding while driving and talking on a phone or that they feel the need to mention the age of the child. I mean, not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm just saying...

Once they get teeth it's time to stop breast feeding....
But that's really sick that she is driving while talking on the phone and breast feeding, the safest place for a kid to be is in their car seat. She could have pulled over and than fed the kid. Can you imagine what the caller on the other end thought.
Caller="So what are you doing?" Mother="Driving to the market, while feeding Jr, oh and talking to you."

Isn't this the second time you moved I thought you already moved out of one New York apartment to another one?

Isn't this the second time you moved I thought you already moved out of one New York apartment to another one? Last May Colleen moved from her apartment in Astoria where she roomed with her friend Amanda (the location of "Roof Top Sessions") back to her parents house. Last week on Thursday or Friday, Colleen drove like 10 hours down to NC. She is living there now so she can be closer to that podcaster dude.

Well said Dani! Though after 11 hours in a car with him, I don't know if I want any more closeness On another note, my sister, Jeremiah #2 (her boyfriend), and a bunch of their friends were all in Vegas this weekend. Delta canceled her flight back to JFK. All of the friends who went back to the Hartford, CT airport on an airline NOT Delta made it back. It's almost as though all of the cursing and screaming about Delta I've done over the last 2 years have meant nothing at all...
