I was looking at the R3PUX4 frag when I noticed something strange. At first I thought is was some kind of imperfection from the film this tape was made from, it looked like a black blip. I thought that until I was able to freeze it.  Without a doubt those should look familiar to you. I think there must be a frag before this that classifies some of the underground facilities. Furthermore, this proves that the Island Mittelwerk and friends are talking about is THE Island. The one and only. Wow. |

Thanks for glyph numero 40 and the Times Square glyph video JLSK, I wanted to see how ABC presented the glyph there.
Nice find DI, so the hatches should be coming into play, awesome.

"precise genetic targets" seems to me to mean very specific people with a very specific gene make up. Suddenly a reason for why it seems like people were somehow manipulated to being on the plane. Get as many matching targets as possible on the plane, crash it so eveyrone thinks they are dead. Cherry pick out the best "targets" - or should I say the "good" targets - and take blood samples, do experiments, etc. on them...
Theory #2 - perhaps DHARMA knows that there will be a world wide pandemic, and that they need to ensure that a large enough gene pool with certain characteristics is preserved (perhaps with some immunity to the disease), or perhaps the are exposing gene resistant losties to the disease in order to then use them to create a vaccine. Hmmm... I'm liking this theory - it would explain much of what is going on...

Great theory JLSK, that does make a lot of sense. Vaccines and a certain gene make up in all the survivors...I could see that.
