Has anyone found a link to see the show? It doesn't air here in Atlanta.

Yeah pretty lame... I was hoping to get some sort of interesting clue... Nothing but a bad actor stumbling over his lines cause he's nervous. Live TV isn't all it's cracked up to be.... I think you did get a great clue about DHARMA shutting down in 1987. I have believed for a while that the people on the island have been abandoned there. And now I'm convinced of it because of how all the tubes were there - ie: they kept writing in the books long after funding was pulled and they were left there alone. I can't wait to see what happened to the others when they realized they had been left there though. Hopefully an "other's" flashback next season.

That was the one, the clue I was excited about. Gave us a little hint. He couldn't say too much without giving the secrets of the show away!

Ok, we're talking about ABC here. If they wanted a good actor - they would've had a good actor playing Hugh. Espcially with a cash cow like Lost they wouldn't hire some crappy actor unless there was reasoning.
We should be talking about why the guy would have been so nervous and bad about simple facts that he should have had down pat. He couldn't get out the name of some of the active projects - that guy wasn't really Hugh, or at least that's what I think.

syndie1975:
I know this isn't really the section for it, but I think the idea is that the Pearl Hatch was the actual psycological experiment, pushing the button was an actual task, as explained by the horific effect of not pushing it.

Duck, I posted this out in the theories section, but here is what I think.
The Swan was definitely a real task to repeatedly relieve the magnetic build up or whatever.
The Pearl was also a task. It just was not the one they were led to believe. Let's say that for remote viewing to be able to happen a person would need to be familiar with the subject they were remote viewing. They stick potential remote viewing subjects in a 3 week rotation to watch the swan. During this time the Pearl viewers become intimately familiar with the Swan workers. The Pearl viewers think they are observing a phsycological experiment and pay attention to all the little details. At the end of the three weeks the Dharma people now have the perfect remote viewing test subjects. Maybe the numbers are tied into this as well - The number on the hatch, the number repeatedly being entered over and over - this helps the remote viewers lock onto the Swan (that was mentioned in a previous theory by someone else - but it fits nicely here).

I think the actor being "bad" was intentional as well. He's not supposed to be an actor he's supposed to be a "real" person at a "real" company, so he would probably be very uncomfortable in front of a camera. Personally I thought it was a nice touch.

Pretty obvious that it wasn't real. Very flimsy excuse for the mismatched photo.

I'm pretty positive it wasn't a bad actor nor was it actually live.

I thought that it was fake until they mentioned it on the Official Lost Podcast.

He did mention a link savejoop.com. I haven't had time to dissect it yet to see if there are any clues.
