really interesting idea uncigmar but what do you thinkn about the other castaways without fathers/mothers in the picture? innocent bystanders? specifically chosen?

The others that we have not seen - the creators have chosen not to show them - but I still think that there's a connection. Remember Locke's misguided staement that they are all there for a reason. I say "misguided" because he believes there is some entity involved in their being there - when it's really others who have decided their fate for them. Just a thought  |

Has anyone ever seen the dead body of Christian Shepherd on the island?  ?? I mean anyone can fake a death - especially when you are part of the DHARMA extreme method acting group. I think Christian Shepard never was on the plane. I think the airport did not allow transport of the body so either it was taken our or never in the coffin. The leader of the others... probably Lockes Dad |

Locke's dad is a materialistic type of person. The Other's seem to be interested in what is best for the cause or the greater good (whatever that is). So, that is why Anthony Cooper can't be the leader of the Other's. He's just "Sawyer".

i still think sun's father is the leader. he's rich. he's powerful. he bribes officials (wasn't it the dept. of agriculture?). and the show has been super secretive about what business he's in. they've kind of led us to believe he might be organized crime but it's not like they haven't led us down the wrong path before.

I would like to get people to stop saying the Christian Shepard is "Him"! The producers have already said that if you see someone dead, then they stay dead! We already saw him dead when Jack had to ID his body. I think he is on the island, or in the water nearby, because they did find his casket. BUT the casket wasen't nailed shut, jack just opened it without any trouble. It most likely opened during the crash and he fell out before they hit the ground. Yes, that's right, one day we will probably stumble upon his dead, rotting corpse. Now there's a nice bedtime story for ya!!
