Apparently the people at ABC released one extra "Dave" photo that they quickly pulled off the site before lost-media pulled it down:  thetailsection.com grabbed it and still has it up. Well,
I have to say it looks like her to me. And the proof for me is why pull the photo out from the ABC media site immediately after posting it? Why else have a close up of a woman that looks an awful lot like Libby....

I personally think ABC is starting to post "fake" promotional pics - I mean you had some guy who obviously wasn't Charlie grabbing Sun in "The Long Con" and I know I don't remember any scene where Charlie was talking to Eko after Eko got the saw from the bunker in "One of Them". And to be honest, some of the pictures for "The Whole Truth" - notably the ones of Charlie, Ana and Sayid look SOOOO staged as to make everyone believe that they have found evidence of Henry Gale's wife and - without showing it - the balloon. To be honest - I am surprised they released any pictures that would lead you to believe that Henry Gale wasn't an "other" unless of course they want everyone believing - or at least assuming - that he is and they have something even twistier involved.

Nope, it definitely is Libby. I had seen it before it was taken down and for that picture it had said "Cynthia Watros" underneath it. But many thanks for reposting these. I was looking for them.  |

So,
Just to go into a bit of speculation on this.
What I think is interesting about this is that both of them were in the asylum both as patients (most likely).
Here are the options I see available:
1. They are both innocents and this is a "random" cross over, just like many of the other cross overs. Implications: she is a compulsive liar and doesn't want anyone else to know what her background is including Hurley.
2. Libby is with Dharma and was in the asylum for a reason - I think to keep an eye on Phil. Implications: why embed her as a spy if Hurley would know her on sight? Either the others have very limited resources people-wise (which could be true and why they have to use disguises), or they are not being very careful. Makes one wonder about her relationship with Goodwin and if they were both aware of each other as "Others"....
3. Perhaps Libby is tied to the numbers through Phil in a similar way that Hurley is. She heard them, used them and now is stuck on the island along with Hurley and the rest. Implications - this would be a pretty cool twist and cement the bond between Hurley and her.
Thoughts?
