Right then.. I'm Becca. I'm a sophomore in High School. That's just about all you need to know about me.

Hi, I'm Jeroen and I live in Holland.

My name is weird for you, I guess, but it comes from Hieronymus, which some of you might have heard of. Anyone a fan of Michael Connelly books? Harry Bosch got his name from a Dutch painter, Jeroen Bosch = Hieronymus Bosch.

Anyway, I'm 17, in my final year of 'high school' here, and soon off to university or the air force. The last one to fly, and the first one to become a doctor if I'm not able to fly.

I stumbled upon Lost in the first season, after an episode or twelve. I loved it at once. The promo's in Holland weren't cool enough for me to start watching the show, and on top of that, I had to play basketball every friday night. That was the night they played the show here in Holland. After I had an injury which still prohibits me from sporting intensively, I did have time on Fridays, and I found another addiction. Lost.

It's great. I downloaded the first complete season, since I had missed the first twelve or so episodes, and I watched them back to back to back. To back. I love season two even more. So I started to look around on fora and stuff, posted a little bit on a Dutch forum, but I'm getting sick of the HUGE pictures they've got in their signatures there. But one of the more normal people there told a little about podcasts, and last week I listened to one of Jay and Jack here. I must admit, after Lindelof and Cruse, yours is the funniest and most informative. So I downloaded every podcast I could find and I will keep doing it from now!

As you can see, I like to type long stories now and then, and since I'm Dutch, my English in those stories sucks ass. Nevertheless thanks for reading it entirely.

Folk-Etymologically, the word is said to mean "wise fool"; consequently sophomoric means "pretentious, bombastic, inflated in style or manner; immature, crude, superficial" (according to the Oxford English Dictionary). While it appears to be formed from Greek sophos, meaning "wise", and moros meaning "foolish", it is in truth from the word sophumer, an obsolete variant of sophism [1]. In Britain, the term sophomore is unknown and second year students are simply called second years.
