OK, Cody. I have enough for only ONE new album to get. Finally! I got an iTunes certificate in the mail...that was a nice surprise.
Anyway. I was torn about which album to listen to first on your music blog. I've only heard one song by The Decemberists from indiefeed. It was great! I may go with them. But if you had had to choose just one album from your music blog, which would it be?

OH! Thats a hard one. It depends. Decemberists are great, and I would definitly go with Pesqureqe(?), its the best. They are defeinitly a little more on the folky side.
Then of course Sufjan Stevens is simply amazing, Come on Feel the Illinois is the best album I have heard in years. But its definitly a little werid. Sample it before you buy it.
Then you have Blackstar, which is by far one of the best hip hop albums of all time, but if your not a fan of hip hop don't bother.
Other reccomendations: Laura Viers Fruit Bats Syd Matters
Thanks for trusting me with such a desision! Hey BTW, I have a new TV blog. So go and check it out ya'll!

Thanks for you feedback! Hmmm...I think its between Stevens and the Decemberists...I think I am gunna go with Picaresque, then Stevens. I love folk! And I defienately LOVE weird music. Alternative is just that! I need more iTunes cash! But that's the next one I need to get.
I'll trust you with many more possible album picks. YOU ROCK!
I have seen your TV Blog, I'll check it out again soon. Keep up the great posts!

Beck is yet another artist I've heard so much great feedback about since Odelay. I am so glad my own musical tastes have been fleetingly withdrawing from the mainstream to seek out artists like Beck. I am in no way afraid of so-called "wierd" music. I'm assuming Beck is and I am more than OK than that! I love artists eccentricity! I've seen his videoes and they are quite unique as well. I may as well take a leap of faith and check them out. I AM! But so much music, so little money! Today I was listening to Picaresque and its amazing! My favorite tracks are "The Infanta" "Engine Driver" and "Sixteen Military Wives". Good stuff, Cody! ROCK ON!

I am in love with the "mariners revenge" and "the infanta" is second on that album, on her majesty I like "chimbley sweep" and "red right ankle"

OK, Cody.
I am thoroughly enjoying the Decemberists. And I just baught Sea Change...its made a few rounds on my iPod and it sounds great! I have a question, similar to the last one. I just added 30 bucks to my iTunes account and....since I have reservations about rap....who would you choose: Sufjan or Grandaddy? I'll give Black Star a listen....soon.

They are both great. I personally like Sufjan Stevens more. But Grandaddy is a lot easier to listen to (kind of like DCFC).
If you go with Grandaddy buy Sumday. If you got with Sufjan buy Come on Feel the Illinois.
Both are great, sample before buying.

come on feel the illinois is a great album, but I like his first one better, "A Sun Came"
and Cody, have you heard of hieroglyphics? they are a rap group and they have some big names in the group (Mr. Lif, Del the funky Homosapian) I like them alot, also you should check out the collaboration between MF Doom and Danger Mouse called Danger Doom, its amazing
