Oh man, the next lens I buy will be the EF 14mm. I am falling in love with wide angle stuff. I currently own a 17-85mm, but its a f/4-5.6, which is way too slow for night stuff. And at the 17mm end, the edges warp. You can see from the wide shots I've taken.

I have a 19-35 mm for my analogue SLR camera, but I rarely use it anymore. This new lens is a bit slow too, but since the amount of noice in the picture is fairly low even when I'm shooting @ ISO 800 there is still use for it. And also @ 10 mm (equivalent of 16 mm on normal film) the shutter speeds can be quite low without getting motion blur from camera shakes.
I would love to have the 70-200/2.8 IS USM too - I have Canon's old 75-300/4.5-5.6 II IS and apart from the aperture values it's great. Using all my lenses and extenders gives me a range between 10-600 mm (equivalent to 16-960 mm) which is pretty much what I feel I need.

That's awesome. I doub't I'll purchase anything longer for a while. Most of the photos I take are on set. I think after the 14, I'll get an 85mm, and then a new camera body (currently using a Digital Rebel XT, and currently wishing for something more). I need to get my hands on a 35mm SLR because I plan to take some photography classes at my community college in the fall. Preferably a Canon so I can swap lenses (Although, my 17-85 is an EF-S lens, which I think only fits in the Rebel XT and the 20/30D), which would leave me with only my 70-200 unless I get a new lens before-hand (which is unlikely due to shotage of mula). But it won't be too bad. The USM is super super fast and quiet. I'm amazed at the speed it locks focus, and it's acuracy. I just love this lens, such great image quality.
What camera body do you have?

I have the Canon EOS 350D (called Digital Rebel XT in the Americas), and I'm pretty satisfied with it. I might upgrade to a 30D in the future, but as for now I don't need it. My 35mm SLR is a Canon EOS 5000 - the old version, but I can still use most of my lenses.
I've got a Canon EF 50mm/1.8 II - and that's totally amazing - especially with the digital SLR, because of it's equivalent of 80 mm it makes a perfect lens for portraits.

Yeah awesome. Top on my list are 14mm, 50mm, 85mm. Preferably in that order (forgot about my desire for a 50mm f/1.4).
Oh yeah, and the main reason I want a new camera body is simply the size of the Rebel XT is too small. I want something a little larger to make my hand a little more comfortable. I've been drooling over the 5D because of its full-frame sensor. Better image quality and better use of my future 14mm. So I can actually take a digital 14mm shot, not 22. That might lead me to purchase an extender, though. I'm just going on and on. Simply put, I want a 5D and a 14mm. And an ELAN 7NE. And a 50mm. Oh and the 85mm... Dangit and the 1.4x extender.
Ugh...

I've got a cool one called LensBaby - it's a 50mm/2.0 lens that you can bend and get really cool pictures from - like this one:

Oh a tilt-shift? I still don't really grasp the way those things work and what they're for...
ah-scratch that. I know what you're talking about. Sorry, my bad. LensBaby, I remember now.

It's not really a tilt-shift - and if it were - it would be used for straightening up for instance buildings when using a wide angle lens.
It's somewhat a tilt-shift - it tilts the focal plane and can even make the picture put the focus on just one particular spot in the image. It's nifty...
