I have a question, I really like this song called "Rat des villes sourire des champs" by Les Acrobates and I really like it cause it sounds kinda twisted but I have no idea what its about! Do you happen to know?

Well first of all the title "Rat des villes et Sourire des champs" (City Rat and fields Smile) makes reference to the fable written by La Fontaine, "Le Rat des villes et le Rat des champs" (The city Rat and the fields Rat). It's talking about a guy who lived in the city and a girl who lived in the country, they met in the city and fell in love. They moved together in the country but the guy didn't like it, so he came back to his city like a coward. Then the girl told him she hates his city and she'll never love him in this place so now he lives in the country with her and sings his love songs. Hope that's clear  |
